We spent a whole summer together while she was in Florida with me and that summer came and went like a candle in the wind. I love all of the songs from his album, but this the best. The quieter songs show off his voice better than the louder ones. The lyrics and the music of this song is truly beautiful, but his voice is what gets me.

I hate country music. But I messaged my wife about this song (she loves country) and told her that I thought this song was amazing. It really touched a chord somewhere deep inside. She told me that it was a song by that "banned country musician" and I just lost my mind. This is what music is supposed to be about. What's wrong with the song?!?! Its great!!! She tried to explain the politics of it all......... it didn't make any sense. This is one of the greatest songs of the last 5 years.
