A quick feedback: I prefer when you put only the lines on top of the model rather than the ball - that way I can better see the face of the model and how the lines relate. The ball kinda obstructs the view and makes it harder for me to learn & follow along.

I use both, but mainly ellipses for the upper body and boxes for the lower. And there are plenty of videos on this, so look them up :)
