    Very nice job! :) I just subscribed.. I watched all your videos and I noticed that you mounted the corals in the day 1 and you used dry rock. I am amazed how well your acros are doing considering that (I thought that you need a very well established tank for the acros to thrive). What do you dose? You use two part or calcium reactor? And do you dose any trace elements? Thanks for your videos.

      Thank you very much Bro! :)
      Yes, I started completely dead, without any bacteria preparations, live rocks/sand or other stuff.
      Only corals came the first hours in, the first days also beautiful large Acros, and has developed very well.
      I had to dose powerful phosphate at the beginning, meanwhile the phosphate content stabilizes that I no longer have to dose so much. Nitrate is I think not as important as PO4, but still important for bacterias.
      Yes, I use two parts, calcium chloride dihydrate and sodium hydrogen carbonate, I buy it on Ebay and mix it myself, must only be pharma quality for me. And Tropic Marin A- and K+ elements what i mix it in and plankton and Vitamino from Grotech and NO3 + PO4, thats it.
      If you measure a lot (and dose what is missing) at the beginning and work cleanly, you can also start directly with the most sensitive animals, see my tank :)

    Awesome corals! What parameters do you have?

    • @riffchiller2418
      @riffchiller2418  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PO4: 0.04 mg/l - have to dose
      NO3: 0.1-0.2 mg/l - have to dose
      KH: 7,5-8 dKH
      Ca: 430 mg/l
      Mg: 1350 mg/l - no more dosing

    It's amazing! Start putting in LPS! Do you keep your No3 and PO4 at 0 all the time?

    • @riffchiller2418
      @riffchiller2418  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not always but when I measure, both are often at 0.
      I dose both pretty much, feed the fish a lot but the values dont want increase. Is ok :)

    Sehr nices AQ! Besitze auch das XL200 und wollte mal fragen, was für Lichteinstellung du hast? Ich hab die Kessil AP700 und möchte demnächst mit Acros starten. Gruss

      Danke dir!
      Ich hab die Ecotech Radions, keine AP700.
      Einstellungen sind aber mit sehr wenig Rot/Grün/Warmweiss - 15% jeweils

    Wie lange hast du gewartet bist du die ersten Korallen besetzt hast?

      Dankeschön :)
      Hatte die ersten Korallen neben dem Becken da war das Becken noch nicht mal aufgefüllt mit Salzwasser, also Direktstart.
