Seeing the gifts upon Rimuru's transformation as a demon lord for these characters is just amazing to witness
it would have been beneficial had the anime actually described Shuna's gift: manufacturer. it allows her to create her own unique skills, mostly by combining her skills into new ones

For me, what makes me happy is the fact that this episode marks a huge change in the anime as going foward many characters like Shuna will start to get into the spotlight more often. Her fight while short was beautifully animated and I'm all for that!

I love how holy magic is portrayed in the series. It is not a power bestowed by a god but the faith for the one they believe in whether they be holy beings or not
The books eventually get a bit more detailed; It's basically a loan of power you give back in regards to your faith.

@@Rembanspellsong In one I played in the massively overbuffed cleric only didn't win because he never figured out where my character (pixie rogue with a bow, UMD and illusion scrolls and wands) _was_ until it was far too late. If the player had been a little more suspicious of the "druid" he thought he was seeing he'd have countered me easily.
Can we talk about how Adalman survives this and regenerates his entire army just to profess his new religion for Rimuru?

It is a little bit late but I can answer the question. Adalman was the main energy core for the defence magic of the castle but the effect of a magic contract made sure that he can never comitt suicide or only can be killed by a very powerfull mage.if he dies the contract magic revives him but in this case the contract has been desintegrated by the the magic he used so the revive still happened but he was no longer bound to the catsle and it defence system.

Actually Hakuro never trained Shuna due to her being the “princess” of the tribe
@@lonewolfshinobi exactly, and that is why when she was asking to go on this part of the mission she was kind of mad when she almost got passed over, she is sick and tired of always being protected and not being able to show how strong she actually is. She knew she was the best suited for this kind of mission, and demanded to be allowed the chance to prove herself.
Yeah given how she was the Princess she was never allowed out on the front lines.

As quick as it was, with the scene combining beautiful visuals with heavenly sounding music, it feels like you're seeing the end of a long nightmare for Adalman and the other undead.

Actually rimuru uses Accelerated Though on clayman. Because of that + a punch, he went for days of pure pain that were actually 3 seconds

Shuna is the ultimate weapon in all of Tempest. Her faith and devotion to protect all those who are dear to her is unparallel. One of the many reasons she is not to be underestimate.

OK, so Shuna at this stage is powerful enough to make a mockery of the magic that Hinata was so darned proud of. I wonder how it feels going from being able to go toe to toe with a monster nation's leader to not being able to even be close to someone in the lower half of the top 10
Honestly speaking, Hinata even at this stage could still take anyone in Tempest out that isn’t Rimuru, Veldora or Diablo. As much as I love Shuna, Hinata could still beat her pretty easily in a fight.
To be fair Shuna is kinda the go to for spirit and holy magic, and even has complete resistance to attacks on the spiritual body as well as holy attacks, so that would be a pretty bad matchup for Hinata. She could probably hold her own better against Benimaru than Shuna because of Shuna's skillsets. Unless Hinata ditched her more flashy techniques and magic and just pulled out a good old fashioned longsword lol
Hinatas version is much much more powerful...magic in this series relies on the casters power/skill which would make the spell by default more powerful for hinata but holy magic in general is powered even more by believe and faith and hinata is whole heartily devoted to luminus while adalman just discovered that faith again its just no competition

Shuna can use any spell she likes but ainz is still more powerful as a magic user in gerneral. It is also difficult to say per say since magic is extremly different in tensura and overlord.
Id bet my money on ainz since he is a lot more experienced in using his magic unlike shuna but still depending on how the magic system would scale it could be close

I really like this scene. Or at least how they make it seem in the anime / translations.
Shuna was egging him on about Holy Magic.
I can do it, why not you? I would have thought you could break such a weak binding curse. Almost like she found him pitiful. But she wanted to see if he could rise to challenge and overcome his undead state to use Holy Magic.
And that fires Adalman up to the point it ignites his faith ever so slightly and he uses holy magic again, even if it means he'll die by using it.
Shuna rewards him for this show of character by freeing him from the curse.
But now that I typed this out I'm half expecting a light novel / web novel reader to 'but actually' this lol. It's just how this fight was made to look in the anime.

Yeah nah, that's 100% how it happened and was intended.
As Adelman says, he has nothing against Shuna, infact actually owes her for, albeit temporarily, restoring his faith.
But in much the same vein, Shuna has nothing specifically against Adelman, sure, he's an enemy, but he isn't THE enemy.
And the outcome of this battle actually backs up that fact :p

Whaaat they skipped so much. Like how overdrive works. It's shuna's unique skill she got from rimaru. 'manufacturer' letting her create her own magic skills.
It's getting toward the end of the season. As much as I've grown to love this studio, they had that same problem last season. But we'll probably see it covered in more detail in season 3. Just like how this season picked up some of the stuff they had to skip at the end of last season.
@@heavyarms55 It shouldn't be as bad in S3 as it was in S2 due to them thinking they wouldn't be getting S2 so they rushed some of the more boring bits, and they paid for such a transgression w/ losing like 4 episodes this season. They just need to re-spotlight Zegion & Apito in the main series (Tensura Nikki was a good start, but most ppl likely didn't watch it) for the integrity of future seasons.
Adalman learnes that so long as he has faith, holy magic is always his to wield.
The sound and spell animation is always lit 🔥
