What would help the dark places show better would be shadow steak but I know it's a pain to make and only last 3min but thanks your vids helped me a lot I am playing on the Switch and normally only solo
Tip for everyone: tane an otter they go on your shoulder and for free give you temperature immunity so you are never hot or cold and they also can cary mire than one artifact so you can get enough from each run, also if you are playing single player you can quit and rejoin the game to make the artifact respawn instantly
For the poison cave I recommend shoulder mount carry dimorphdons turn their harvest setting to off follow low and aggressive stance will make this cave fairly safe to clear. following with 1 or 2 beezlebufos for handling leeches since their tongue attack is ranged but if you want to go with the biggest possible dino then a baryonyx is about the biggest thing you can fit. Keep in mind baryonyx is not going to fit through small passages so you will need the cryopod however those pool rooms baryonyx will keep it secure making checkpoints for you and your tribe.

Thanks for this video - I've been playing Ark for years and never got the courage to tackle the caves... so I started this weekend using the guides here. First thing that happened - went to the Skylord... searched for ages, didn't find it. Turns out Ark has this bug from time-to-time... lost 2x shotguns, the ammo and my Argy glitched into the wall near the cave entrance. Figured, seeing as the game glitched on me it was ok to use a sneaky "ghost" command to save my bird... and spawn the Artifact. All the others are going well so far - thanks!
I got into the cave of the pack artifact and after dying 4 - 30 times just to only find out the fact it didnt even spawn yet Lmaooooo Good vid btw helped alot

There's a weird thing or maybe glitch in my ark where no matter how much I try to get the artifact of the skylord it doesn't spawn or exist. I'm on the island map.
@@guythatmakesvideoss Are you playing on single player? That's a well known glitch in regards to single play with many solutions out there. Believe it or not, I was playing last night as of typing this, and tackled the skylord cave. Sure enough, no artifact. So I did what I found as a solution from many out there, and just went into spectator mode (I don't consider it a cheat for the thing glitching out) found the part of the map where the artifact is being held since it is programmed in, just in a separate piece of the cave map, and floated through the two entrances and then placed myself back on the regular map. Exited and then reentered the cave, and then there it was available. I heard you could stand at a part for 20 mins real time at the farther end of the cave from the artifact and it'll eventually spawn in as well.
As I have played this on multiplayer with my tribe mates on single it helps cause you to learn from that but vids like this help a lot, especially if you get lost or do not know where the caves are, which I don't, lol I tamed a sinomacrops to help us in caves its what we have always done but not at first we had to endure being killed a lot. need to tame some water animals as well..
I got so clobbered in the Lost Hope cave. Lost 2 Basilos, 2 Megs, a Sarco with ASC saddle, a dolphin with ASC saddle, my cryo’d wyvern and snow owl, 2 ASC scuba tanks, ASC weapons galore (none of which were very effective), ASC flak, hazard, and riot armor. I need a super strong Basilo or Tuso, something with like 100k health and 1k melee. Cool cave though. Found both notes. Killed lots of really strong spiders, scorpions, and beetles. It’s so nuts in there.

Or a grappler 6: gas mask 7: a glider 8: a bed 9: zipline anchor (optional) 10: good scuba gear 11: medical brew 12: food 13: soup? 14: heat protection
Did you guys know you can set markers on your map to mark things like cave locations, open your map and press p on keyboard, square on PS4 but idk what it is on Xbox, it's on the wiki fandom website tho
Great Video, thanks. Skylord you can reach the artifact without dropping down to it and then you go back out the way you came in and don't need grapples (I got that tip from your original video btw and just assumed it would be the same on the new cave and it is)
I've never actually gotten all of them so this may not be true but in terms of like actual difficulty and not creatures in the cave the massive is wild. I've Fallin in so many times and it's always so tense playing or watching.
We based up inside the cave of the devourer. The cave is on the back side of Carno Island. You can build in there. There's also an explorer note inside. We put our death wall of turrets right at the entrance when you come up out of the water. You need to have at least a fortitude of 20 or a good set of fur armor. There's also typically a megalania that spawns at the bottom in the little "church" building the artifact is in. We fit EVERYTHING in there. Gigas, cliff plats, teleport pads, transmitters, vaults, tech and heavy turrets, info forges, grinders etc... We even had our mechs at the bottom. Along with our reapers. There's several spots in the walls along the path down where you can mesh a batt-heavy turret or vault. It's an amazing place to make a base as long as you can fortify it heavily enough .... Aside from the ice cave under blue ob in the north, this cave is one of the only other places that is virtually impossible to raid. You can even toss out a bunch of under water homing mines at the entrance. Any raiders will have to REALLY want in. They can't just toss soakers into the turrets either cause the turrets shred them before they get close enough to toss them out. You can fit a giga right at the entrance as well as a bunch of velos for added defense. Like i said, i highly recommend the underwater homing mines. Whatever tames they try walking into the water will get utterly annihilated by them.
What type of gun do you have Also really good strategy in the cave that has the artifact of the massive in it is lure anything that can’t fly towards you because they’ll often fall into the lava

Dang, you have advanced way past anything I have done. I am wondering if this is the same The Island map most of us play as a single player? If it is, I wish you had said more about the weapons used, the clothing, and such details that helped the two of you to succeed. The same happened to me and I’m on my way to the second one, I have the devour artefact. If I get all of them and the sky lord still isn’t there I’ll have to spawn in it using cheat codes

16:47 just shows an infinite void with water for me, flew into it with my argey and it kicked me off and i fell face first into limitless water... later on it spawned me on top of the cave and the void is still there. Edit: quitting and restarting fixed it!
I’m an Xbox player, so I love the fact ark 2 is coming to Xbox, but the fact wild card isn’t releasing it on PlayStation is disgusting behaviour, so many PlayStation ark twitch streams, so many PlayStation ark TH-cam channels, PlayStation players that have dedicated them selves to ark, in fact PlayStation sold more ark games and DLC than pc and Xbox combined, yet they have spat in the face of PlayStation players, I genuinely think that is bang out of order and such a sly decision to make, I hope PlayStation players hit wild card in there pockets
Topstat troodons would be good tame to take in this cave to assist in shredding through the beasties while shooting them so you can stay back from getting the rabies if done carefully

I’m an Xbox player, so I love the fact ark 2 is coming to Xbox, but the fact wild card isn’t releasing it on PlayStation is disgusting behaviour, so many PlayStation ark twitch streams, so many PlayStation ark TH-cam channels, PlayStation players that have dedicated them selves to ark, in fact PlayStation sold more ark games and DLC than pc and Xbox combined, yet they have spat in the face of PlayStation players, I genuinely think that is bang out of order and such a sly decision to make, I hope PlayStation players hit wild card in there pockets

It’s a required turn-in in order to summon the world bosses, don’t drop them, you’ll need multiples of them
