I'm fine with your opinion on both games, but still I think it's too early to judge reborn cause of its early state. You should probably re-judge reborn later when beta 1.0 releases. And also I personally think that reborn is more of a spiritual successor rather than just "a better version of the original parkour".
Reborn's concept was the original intend of the devs for the legacy (basically a copy of "mirrors edge" series) where you parkour around buildings, explore and find different routues. They started with movements like vaulting sliding wallclimbing and wallrunning then they added wallboosting which was unrealistic but they didnt mind it in the first place but after adding gears that buffed you to climb places that are thought to be insanely hard the game was far from the starting idea so they said let it be and added dashing a mechanic that the whole legacy community has grown into where you gained speeds where it can take you 10000 studs away in seconds. Time trials were destroyed were once a gold time was thought to be impossible now looks like a child play. Not only that the gears were reworked around the dashing mechanic and now after a few years the game become anything but "parkour". The devs knew they created something that is not like mirrors edge because there come the "district cascade" game on roblox where it was very similar to mirrors edge had movements like mirrors edge and mechanics like mirrors edge but the dashing system wasnt like a tryhard thing and was occasional so the devs said its time to make what we intended in the first place so they created the reborn, it has a very similar texture to mirrors edge it has similar mechanics to mirrors edge and people love it. I, a guy who played legacy for 400 hours and started playing reborn a few days ago can say that the two games are very different and quite enjoyable. The devs had ideas for desingning legacy like reborn because there were places that had red doors, vents, rooms for more party events but community didnt care about it even if they did, district cascade existed.
TLDR
@@Stanahantldr: devs wanted game like mirror’s edge but added wallboosting and gear that makes u climb further. So difficulty is gone bc u can go light speed. Reborn is more like mirror’s edge.

I have 300 hours in legacy and 50 in rebort, I tell you, legacy is only better in gears and locations, the sarisfaction of climbing vertigo or apolo in reborn wii NEVER be the same as climbing apex or titan for example, I also realy miss the spawn points in reborn, they were so fun to get and they were realy usefull too. Thats all I think

I personally like Reborn's tall climbs more, in Legacy, it felt more like repeating the same few steps over and over again until you reached a new platform, in Reborn, it feels more like you're actually climbing a builduing, since all the others are vastly smaller than the tall ones (like Vertigo for example) and seeing that final room of vertigo feels so nice when you realise that you're done.
Again, that't just my opinion
i can agree to that, and I agree, they are better, but, the satisfactions of reaching the top of crest or titan for the first time is unmatched compared to reborn's vertigo

@@patatovkyfast travel is something that you'd want to avoid adding in a Parkour game. Remember, reborn will be more realistic (and also less pay to win which is GOOD).

People still need time to get rid of this negative stigma around comparing Legacy to Reborn. As someone who has been part of the community for quite awhile and having a lot of hours on Legacy I keep getting mad when people compare the two games. Well they are made by the same person its doesn't mean there trying to be the same game. Reborn is suppose to be a free flowing, open world exploring, Climb up high building's, type game like Mirror's edge. Legacy is based around going fast, and (especially in the last year following up to Reborn) is more of a movement speed paced game. The two are drastically different and are not in the slightest suppose to be compared to each other, to figure out "Which one is better" because in the end Reborn is not a sequel to Legacy, there both just trying to be there own games.
There both parkour games.
The fact that people saying grappler is really good in reborn because of the swing point BUT saying that mag rope is bad like literally it's the same but mag rope are a bit better because you don't just died when you touch the ground

The most popular video on my channel has a similar theme. it got a lot of views because people are arguing with each other in the comments. in fact, I feel absolutely positive about reborn and not when I do not forget that this is the alpha version, I know about all the tricks in reborn, not excluding boing, but I continue to post similar videos just to cause a dispute in the comments

It’s like actually far better than legacy’s one.
In the legacy it’s more about climbing up at the top, and once you get there more than enough it just became boring. Especially when you can get there even faster as the pro player.
Reborn’s map is like. Every around the corners, there’s always something new to see. And the map is beautifully sorted out all the zones too. The buildings are interactive.
And if you climb up high on the building, you can really see that there are more zones coming too.
legacy was a free model map to be fair so its not gunna be very good, reborns was original

I've got around 850 hours in legacy, but i don't have robux for buying reborn alpha access sadly, yet from what i've seen reborn, it's going to be better than legacy. I started playing all the way back when power grip and mag rope were the only left arm gears, when the 2 towers behind the main still existed. I can't be mad about wasting alot of my time playing legacy, it was really fun and as of today i have around 360 levels. If i don't manage to get Alpha Access, i'll wait for beta reborn as it looks really promising.
i can say this much reborn feels like 10x as more fluid then legecy i have 156 hours on legecy and 26 on reborn i recommend just waiting it out for now as now reborn will realease in may which is far away but close enough where it docent feel way to long plus all the progresss for people will reset so they wont really even have a atvantage except for skill

Ive got 2000 hours in legacy. Once I played reborn I havent been able to play legacy at all, reborn is just so much fun

@@TheMrShowerMan it is actually janky tho, reborn is made casual on purpose, alot of casual players and new or mirrors edge players enjoy the reborn gameplay for its, semi realisticness, your saying legacy is good cause you played it for a long time and like the over the top movement.
no matter how good any of these games are, i think reborn deserves much more praise, it had a lot of effort put in it unlike legacy.

legacy is so fun because you can show your skill more and it focuses less on graphics and more on gameplay, also legacy you can do most movement from level 0, but in reborn you have to grind like its a simulator just to unlock long jumping

parkour legacy is better, I know I am 100% blinded by nostalgia but parkour legacy just played a huge part in my childhood, I’ve played thousands of hours in it and ive been playing it since the beginning.
