I play a lot of board games, not usually a fan of digital versions, but this really clicked. Mechanically, huge overlap with Twilight Imperium. Definitely moreso than Stelaris. TI takes our group 8+ hours and offers roughly the same depth but with more politics and negotiations. We play it once a year. Excited to play this once a week at least, to get some of that same feeling in a much shorter time! Really impressed with how they streamlined it, especially the edict system.
That is very apt. I feel like the game's descriptions try and make it out to be closer to Stellaris than it is - but they don't need to. It works well as a digital board game, and even in early access it's got some of the highest production quality around.
Thank u for making a video about this game. I loved Trials of Fire but I didnt know if it was worth 15 bucks but I'll give it a try. Your channel confuses me though. Like 40000 subs but it has low figures. And why r u having the Mr Beast thumbnails? These first impressions are v good but I don't understand why ur uploading twitch vods too.

Very useful video. It reminds me of twilight imperium the board game.
Best summary I can give people: "It's a lite Stellaris board game online". It's made for multiplayer with groups that enjoy the genre

Its called Nexus 5X now
I'd be surprised if Paradox isn't shipping a lifeless micromanagement hell for once.

I think they took huge notes from Dune Spice Wars. Resemblence of overlaping mechanics is too strong. Same with Council=Lansraad.
