Now I’m 23 ready to move onto a big chapter in my life and this song captures all the emotions I’m feeling thinking about leaving the place I have called home for 20 years, the memories made, friends made, heartbreaks, sad and good times. Washed Out, thank you for the amazing music you have made throughout the years. If you see this, know you have a huge fan here in the USA. I have grown up with your music, and I bet so have many others.

The first time I heard this song it felt like someone was coming onto me. That perfect rush of arousal, intensity, and rhythm that makes your heart pound.
and the opposite too. Watching someone you loved and who loved you back fade away. That feeling of loneliness , abandoment and heart break. Thinking back on past relationships and the whole process of a break up. It also has that subtle happy vibe too like everything will be OK in due time. Its over but it's a new beginning.
