    Renting a bounce house the other day. Damn. Why didn't I think about buying one to rent out! We now want to buy one. I seen around $1500 for the typical 13' x 13' ones. Brand new I believe. I'm thinking one for now, and a few tables and chairs. Start out small and perhaps just keep it small for little quick dollars here and there. I don't feel the need to have a big business, just a simple side hussle. With only one or two only.

    • @thebouncefam

      I wouldn't buy a regular jumper. Get one with a slide and bounce house. That can be rented wet or dry. I recommend that Ninja combo from Jump Orange. Its on sell on wayfair.com for 1400$ plus tax.
      That includes delivery, blower, and stakes. Its also lightweight because they use 7.oz thick material on the sidewall and stress points. The base is 15oz material.

    My brother and I bought some inflatables last year to rent out for this season. We have everything figured out except for one thing, we want to rent our inflatables by the day but we don't want to keep our inflatables at someones house overnight like some places do, so the question is how long would a "day" rental be? I'm thinking maybe start dropping off inflatables around 8am and start picking up the inflatables around 9pm or so. We did buy our inflatables used but the guy who sold them to us rented them out for like $80 an hour which would add up to a lot for a long party. They're simple combo units too, I was thinking like $300 for the dry combos and $350 for the wet combo because that's about the average for our area.

    • @thebouncefam
      @thebouncefam  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      We drop off as early as possible in the summer because its so hott and pick up before dark. 7pm at the latest. It says 8 hour rental but sometimes they get it longer. If their party is starting late I will let them keep it overnight as long as it is in a safe location. On my website it says we charge a 50$ overnight fee but I rarely charge it.
      I only charge the extra 50$ if they call and say they want specific unit and I want it overnight. Then I know they have been to my site. I know they don't care about the 50$
      Remember I live in a rural area too. I try to make sure I get the customer booked when I get a lead. I try not to be too rigid with my policies. If you live in an area with more people you may need to be more strict with rental times. My main advice is do what works for you best. If you do things a certain way most customers will respect that.
      Prices vary by area. I try to be in the middle. I don't even consider people without a website my competition. I just check prices with companies with websites and a Google my business pages.

    Where did you purchase your bounce house for good prices

    • @thebouncefam
      @thebouncefam  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Jingo Jump has some units that have good ROI. Jump Orange sells units on wayfair. I got that Ninja combo for like 1500$. It’s lightweight because they use lighter gauge material on the side walls. It’s semi commercial but the customer can’t tell the difference.
      Some of my units we buy with affirm. Make payments. Get one through them and you can have it rented out before your first payment is due. You can pay off early and you don’t pay interest. Or you pay by the month and rent it out. Then take they money you get from renting it out and buy another with cash. Now you got 2 you can rent and you still just paying the 200$ a month or whatever.
      You can also buy used on FB marketplace.
