An MLM is not a scheme. Everyone knows how it works. It is an actual business model, and those who follow it can be very very successful if you are someone who is good at sales. Women in rural areas sign up for this stuff, and it’s like WHY???? There isn’t anybody to sell to. You women are just salty because you don’t understand that this is a hustle not a job.

Fragrant jewels (I think) is the one I used to buy all the time and you can use the bath bomb. It's not an MLM and the bath bombs were amazing the rings are pretty cute as well. The scent from the BB would stick around until my next shower. They did a lot of licensed stuff like disney if I recall. They had candles too but I never tried those.
I don't understand why they wouldn't make them a useable BB.

This video is ridiculous. An MLM is simply multi level marketing company, which is not the same thing as a pyramid. One sells a product, and the other is not selling a product. Your judgment of the quality of the product is also that of a person, who is clearly uneducated in jewelry. The FTC regulates this, along with every other multi level/direct sales company. You said "cult", which also speaks volumes about how biased you clearly are. You also say "money pit", but clearly know absolutely nothing about the business model. I can only say that you disliking the "surprise" about the business, don't shop it. It's just astonishing how you act like you are some sort of expert, which you clearly are not. Words like "predatory" are dangerous claims of misinformation. How many reps have you interviewed to see how much money they make? What statistics did you gather you claims from? Other than your personal opinion, what do you have to support your ridiculous claims. Basically, you know absolutely nothing about this company, and should do better research, before making ignorant content. #BlessYourHeart

If you take these rings to a local jeweler they will not even be worth the $20 you pay for them. Much less the “value” they say. So it’s very misleading. So I bought a few of these ring bombs from online “bomb parties”. I never had any interest in joining. And I stopped participating completely when I found out it was an MLM. But I actually found these bomb parties were kind of fun. I have a few takeaways I want to share.
    1) As a consumer, this is something that’s fun to do a handful of times. The reveals were amusing and I like the low stakes gambling. But because I do not have a gambling addiction, I only wanted to do this a few times. If I did it tons more, I’d be bored. I noticed others who religiously follow these parties were buying multiple rings all of the time. They must have a hundreds.
    2) And I did find a lot of independent Facebook marketplace sites reselling Ring Bomb jewelry , used by people that appear have hundreds of rings. Often, they are selling them off for far cheaper than you would buy them at a party.
3). As I have been researching this scammy MLM, I have noticed that the anti-MLM folks always say that this jewelry is horrible and cheap. and on this point I mostly disagree with you. …I bought three rings. I hate one of them. Ugly. And the other two are amongst my favorite costume jewelry. I’ve had them both for over an year and they are pretty, are holding up well. I feel like I probably overpaid a bit for what I have. Like I could’ve found something similar on Amazon for 35 to 50% less. But this is decent costume non-precious jewelry. It does not turn my fingers green.
    4) I 100% percent agree with your comment, “why does this have to be an MLM?” . This could’ve been a legitimate business. Or at least an attempt at one. They could’ve even still included the social media parties from corporate offices, Not from their own customers that they are trying to scam. Another idea I had is they could have sold these bombs as functioning bath bombs with the added perk of a pretty piece of jewelry. The bombs they sell now are only for a show.
Also overall, it’s kind of a weird MLM right?

    • @justanotherclaud
      @justanotherclaud ปีที่แล้ว +16

Ok I've been watching their lives a few times and couldn't understand why I was into it or why some people seemed to buy all the time and the thrill seems to be in the buying and surprise, not the individual rings (since they didn't seem very sad even when they didn't like a ring). Gambling makes total sense!

Like who would want to buy a candle with a ring in it each month or more? It’s another problem with mlms a lot of their people who get sucked in don’t see it’s a small or over saturated market. The more niche the product the retail customer base gets smaller smaller

(Edit: I think I'm misremembering information about this company being an MLM. I thought I read somewhere that it once was an MLM, but I can't find that source. Apologies! Leaving the original comment unedited below for transparency.)
Fragrant jewels, a candle jewelry company, used to be an mlm. They stopped for whatever reason and now just kind of scam people (like myself once because I was bored) and make it really hard to buy one candle without accidentally signing up for a monthly autoship. I only wear one of the rings. The rest just sit in my little ring dish untouched. Their monthly autoship would have the candle, and then like a bathbomb so they were doing *both* hustles.

My husband and I had to do marriage counseling through his Catholic church prior to our wedding. The "counselor" ended it with a MLM for health insurance/ investments. I knew pretty much 2 min into him starting his spiel. My husband (legally married already) was falling for it for a whole hour before it hit him. I had to keep it in bc he went from doe eyed to trying to show me an article saying it's a scam. T_T I love him, but he knows not to commit to something without a discussion.

Someone my husband knew found out that I was looking to move to another company, and he told me that he worked with an insurance company and asked if I'd be interested in coming in to talk to one of his managers about a position they had open at their company. It sounded like a legit company from everything we talked about, nothing seemed shady in the least. I showed up for my "interview" to find out that it was an insurance MLM. I was FURIOUS.

Some of the pieces were pretty and seemed nice. But other than a few, most seemed, like you said, from a vending machine. There is a lot of beautiful jewelry out there that you cannot buy from a jewelry store or anywhere else or even at a cheap jewelry store at that BP does have a lot of beautiful jewelry I have seen it firsthand and I’m not just saying that. My mum was a part of a company called Oriflame, which was once huge here. It’s known for different skincare and makeup products and also the fact that you need to work hard to bring in both customers and workers. I even remember packing boxes with her and picking up orders at this place not far from us 😄
However, my mum never really recruited anyone and just enjoyed some good (at least, at that time) products with a couple of our neighbors. I think this only happened because my dad’s income was more than enough for all of this, so if my mum was a single mother or my dad never made as much as he did, she probably would’ve fallen victim to MLM.
Another not-so-fun thing about Oriflame is that they prey on people looking for jobs, even going as far as posting fake hiring ads, probably hoping that by the time you jump through all hoops and end up talking to them, you’ll be exhausted enough to accept just any job coming your way. So definitely less glamorous than parties for Bomb Party.

However, it was off putting where you said ‘it’s good to get this information out’ and described how predatory it is BUT then said ‘oh but that’s just my opinion’ which really really really lessons the impact of what you’ve said. It’s not ‘an opinion’ if it follows the definition of ‘deception’, shows ‘predatory’ tactics, etc. It just IS. Standing by what you say would really go a long way when it comes to these things because I’ve watched a few of your videos which I’ve enjoyed but if I was in an MLM it would 100% lesson the whole point of making the video: hoping to inform people so they will stop being in an MLM and or get the MLM destroyed regardless so that it cannot take advantage of people, which it DOES.

This mlm infiltrated our makeup facebook group during the pandemic and a ton of the girls bought jewelry from this lady. She never gave us the option to just get the bomb and do it ourselves. I had to drive to her house to pick my rings up which was irritating but i was still excited because i got a "genuine" rose quartz ring with a "rose gold" band. It was supposed to be worth $500. I got it and noticed a green spot under the stone where the band attaced to it but thought maybe it was just in the stone. I ended up wearing it for a month (taking it off for showers and really only putting it on when i left the house) until i realized the rose gold was coming off and now it was turning my finger green. My other matching set wasn't the size it said it was and 75% of the stones fell out after just 1 wear. Safe to say i wasted $60. The only ring that I'm still able to wear is the kids ring i got with an adjustable band 😅

Literally was just propositioned by an MLM two days ago 😮!! The new temp that I was training at work tried to recruit/sell to me. It was for an adult toy company & the lady was nice so I was trying to be nice by listening. She was one of the top earners & had a team under her. And I’ll give it to her, she talked a good game and knew how to get me curious about it. With charimsa like that I can see why people have gotten roped into it! BUT she did tell on herself & the company a little bit by admitting her quota was $4k in sales a month, that the catalog/kits were expensive outside of the discount they had for newbies, & that typically she did 10+ parties a month 😬. Her cell phone was also cut off at the time, meaning the job obviously didn't pay well enough (even for the 1% of earners!!). The worst part is the photos that she showed me were of basic overpriced vanilla-looking shit! The downtown hole-in-the-wall s*x shop had better quality stuff than what she showed me 🤦🏽‍♀️

I spent over 300 dollars in the last week buying Ring Bomb products. I came on TH-cam looking for the Summer Stack collection videos and ran across your video. I guess it's not for everyone but there are plenty of people that love Ring Bomb. I enjoy the surprise of not knowing what I will get. I have never tried to buy in hopes of a diamond because that so rarely happens. There are different styles of rings and stacks people look for to collect. I just purchased a stack off Ebay for 85 dollars just so I can have a particular stack in my collection. The resale value of these items are usually very good because people collect certain pieces. I have a large group of friends that collect as well and we enjoy getting together for these parties. I have collected Longaberger baskets in the past and it's very much like that or Pampered Chef. It's not just the products it's the community of people (friends) that get together for the party events. I have never been pressured to buy or sell their products either. As far as the quality of their products I used to work at Gordon''s Jewelers back in the day and also Willson's and for costume jewelry it is very nice quality. The settings come in rhodium, rose gold, sterling silver, and 14k gold. Some of the stones are real like diamonds (rare to find) amethyst, garnet, and topaz. Some of the lab-created stones are ruby, alexandrite, and emeralds. So overall the quality for the price is very good. I am not a consultant but did consider selling so I educated myself on the products and the company. For me collecting is a better option at this time because I am usually very busy and just do not have time to start a home-based business. The one thing I do not like about this company is that they do not allow consultants to switch or trade if a customer gets a duplicate. Because it's a surprise reveal you never know. It is against policy rules to exchange in the event of a "dup" There are ways around it of course like other customers can buy it from the original customer that got the duplicate or they can give it as a "gift" but telling a customer to just give it to her sister as a gift is not satisfactory in my option and it would seem to discourage the customer from purchasing again. I still think there is room for improvement in that department. All and all I believe it is a good company and the quality of the product for the price is good. Just my two cents.

The term “boss babe” alone is the only red flag I need

I am sad to say my mom has fallen to the Bomb Party trap. While she is not a seller she has bought an obnoxious amount of bracelet stacks and rings from this one specific seller. The stacks and rings are beautiful but it’s the principle for me

It’s crazy how someone can market/advertise something and make it look so nice and expensive but it not be anything. I mean, i know all brands do that and that’s what sells their products but a lot of it is so misleading

Biggest red flag: the words boss babe
Which is annoying because the real definition of a boss babe should be a woman who pushes herself to the top, and we know with mlms they hardly ever make it to the top. 🙄🙄🙄😔

A year or two ago this family would go live on Facebook and do bingo, whichever number they chose when they did your spin is the amount you had to pay. Another form of gambling, scamming and preying upon people who don’t have a lot. It’s incredibly sad and unfortunate.
