I now teach sewing in my smaller retirement town. Surprised not as many are coming. 2 men, one lady. Older. But I seek sell some things only locally. Much of my ideas have non seen touches for ability to use. Like a jean messenger bag, convertible to shoulder or strap with NO hardware needed. I only charge 10. Some say charge more. Ok the locals don’t have much money either and yeah they sell. All sold out. 40 jeans not in the landfill! Mostly I’m relating the judgements when it’s not popular I hid what I did.

I have found myself watching these videos as well, just hoping for the day I am able to jump in my car and ride away. I’m also looking for a lot of mental health healing as I know the physical healing has come as far as it can……… 😞
Bless your heart Diane and your ability to overcome the obstacles of life and bless your heart Bob for always being such a gracious interviewer and networker:)
Good for this lady for being smart enough to get out of her old life before she lost her mind. I so admire people like her. I live in a house but I am really drawn to these kinds of videos. They inspire me.
In two weeks I'll be entering my tenth year of recovery from a brain injury. It is great to hear someone else who understands how nature is proof positive of the healing affect of wild places.
Jimmy Fischbeck I too am recovering from a brain injury ( radio surgery) and am looking to sell my house and build a large van into a camper . less stress.
Enchanting. Wow. She seems so light and relieved. Like she’s been set free. Love everything about this. I’ve always had this type of living thought in my brain and I never knew people do this. I surely don’t pity her. In fact, I’m envious of her. Beautiful way to live. ☮️
What a great interview. I like that she is so genuine and not a fake type of person. She is the kind of person I would like to meet and make friends with if I ever get my own camper and get out there.
Love this lady. I’m a Diane also. My dream is to be like you if something happens to my husband. I want to camp full time, but he does not want to do it. Thank you lovely lady
This is one of my favorite videos. Every once in a while I come back and watch it again. I really like her attitude. She has my sense of humor and I like how she says things. A paid for home is worth a whole lot in the mental bank and this lady is funny, she's real, and she makes me smile. Thanks for this!
Hi Bob! I was coming to the RTR and asked you about renting a car! Remember? You answered and said not in Quartzsite! I did arrive from Key West, Florida on the last day of the RTR so missed the gathering and meeting you and others I follow. I also came to see the Big Tent and other vendors and succeeded in buying some things I was looking for. Rented a car in Blythe and on the day I returned it, I stopped at the Laundramat-Mall in Ehrenberg and by chance met Kampervan Kevin and Panda-Monium in the parking lot. All was not lost! I am 85 years old and have been on the road now since Jan 16th. I am so at peace with my life now. You are right about the healing that you receive with this lifestyle. I lived full-time but used my rv for business. This is my first time on the road just for me. I am feeiling the joy of being alone or meeting new friends. I am truly at peace and have found the happiness in living that I always dreamed of. You are so right Bob. My final years will be my best years!
She took off her glasses and I thought 'she looks like my auntie!!!' As soon as I saw her eyes I knew she was a beautiful person. Thank you so much for introducing us to her. I completely understood what she was saying about the difficulties of getting up in the morning. As a caregiver to Family members, I'm unable to make such a wonderful life choice. but I have my little teardrop trailer that even if I'm not able to get out of town at this point in my life, I go in there and I am in my escape pod. I am so happy that this woman has been able to make this happen for herself. I bet the propane little buddy doesn't keep her as warm as the canine little buddy. What a great doggo.
i really likE this lady ,her honesty and just being herself. havin g had a breakdown myself, i wish i would have done this. i hope to in the future to do it.
CheapRVliving i am so happy i found this video! what a sweet woman! thank her for sharing. thank you for asking her just the right questions. I hope to test the waters in about two weeks!!! I am breaking free of apartments and going to live in a camper. I am going to start in a campground, to ease into it and get to know the camper. but i very much want to quickly find a community of nomads, offgridders, a new family to help out, live with and heal with. I am so burned out, I am so much on the very edge,... and have been for so long. I need nature as far as my eyes can see. and I need other folks who understand that climbing on and over each other to win this rat race is no way to live. I really hope I find that soon, very soon... before I end up sitting in a corner blowing bubbles!!!! most days I want to sit and cry, but I don't think I would ever stop! so I just keep telling myself to hold on, I will be free and in a camper and in nature very soon. so many folks tell me I'm crazy for wanting that, but then I see a video like this.... and I know that I am more sane and searching for healing than any of them. thank you again!!!! big hugs to you and this beautiful sweet woman!!!!
I have a big travel trailer in a campground and spent the summer there and loved it (as did my pets). The problem is the winters here a brutal and no water or sewer during those months. What I would love to find is something where I could spend the cold months in a warmer climate boondocking. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Best of luck to you. I'd love to do it too, but I am 72 and know nothing about how to manage all the electronic stuff in an RV or trailer. Wish I'd done it 20 yrs ago! Well I salute everyone who's living this lifestyle and may God bless you ALL!
Bob another stellar interview. Diane is an absolute delight! I loved her shower comment! Lol! Her home is a perfect size. She has everything anyone would need right there in her home! Many thanks!
Very nice and smart lady. I like be that shower and that she's not afraid of older camper. I admire what she is doing there's hope for us all! God bless!
Hi Sherri, I don't know what your PTSD is from but I have CPTSD and agree totally with you. I go barefoot whenever possible....not so much in Texas with fire ants, but as much as possible. :D
I have PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, I have PTSD from being almost beaten to death by my husband, he throwed me out of moving cars , beat me so bad several times I couldn't see out of my eyes , stole my son , he told me he was going to kill me and almost did , the police kept letting him out . I grew up with an very abusive drunk mother , I was taken from place to place, I watched my own mother be beat until she was almost killed so many times , her eyes beat shut , black eyes , her ex husband actually sliced her thumb off and I took my baby brother and git help, I remember falling asleep in cars or in bars while my mother was drunk . I remember onetime my brother and I were left in the back of a car, they forgot us. I woke up it was still dark early morning , I took my little brother about 4 because I was about 7i found us help . I thanked god the day my mom actually gave us back to our daddy . I have lived a hard life, I dont know how j am still alive ? I have taken all my pain and been a nurse trying to make sure the last 33 years others do not suffer as I have . God bless I also love being out on nature sitting beside a nice creek or flowing river .
I'm with you Sherri. Cptsd drom childhood. Nature is my life, my peace. We need to get a safe group of us together and create a support group to make these healthy life changes, go on the road as a group, find a beautiful campground, make a happy safe loving home.

God bless you Diane! You are an inspiration to me! O. Almost 62 and just picked up a 1979 motorhome. The feeling of hope is being restored day by day as I work on the inside and get it ready to move in and start my new life! Thank you for all your good information! Love you sister!
WTG!!! You saved yourself and that's a good thing because NOBODY else will do it for you. I'm trying to do this as well but can't seem to really get it going. You picked a great State. I love it there. The people are priceless and unforgettable. Have fun with your journey in life. No time for sadness or depression!

Turning 59 in a couple of months, and you inspire me to step out and try this. Raising 3 grandchildren, my husband is still travel nursing, and I want to join him and let go of the house. The only thing I even anticipate missing is having a garden. Not that I ever do that now, but hope springs eternal, and each year it is on my to do list. The kids are finally old enough to drive themselves, so they need me less, and I am getting excited about the next phase of life. Best wishes to you and your fur babies, what a lovely person and what a lovely life!!
It is just so lovely to see and hear such a great story. This lady is a success in life, it would be nice to see her art. Thank you Bob humanity at it's best.
Looking at a Winnie Brave for about $3,000. It is in fine condition, 454 engine about 35,000 miles, short 26' so maneuverable. Have a van I parked behind my house to see if I could live in there and tried it for a month and it was fine. I could do with much less and making my food in a small space, laundry, bathroom, etc. Plus I was much happier. Would have taken this plunge years ago but have a kid going to high school next year. He has even talked about wanting to do this which is interesting. You can't imagine how many people you are helping with your videos!!! Thank you. I have never been much of a worshiper of people autograph seeker. I think people are fairly all the same with different levels of jobs, but one of my goals in life is to maybe make your acquaintance. I never discuss with people what I do as a profession, I speak about my "contribution". So when I ask people I ask in that way. What's your "contribution". So a stay at home mom would be raising, molding and educating a member of our next generation, while a "contribution" from a corporate cubicle or officer person would most likely not be as dynamic although in our society that person in the corporate world would be called successful because of the car they drove or the house they lived in. What do you do does not equate with who you are and your value/worth. I have always been of the mind that I would rather make a difference than make money. The money comes when you make a difference in other's lives. You are one of the most successful people I have ever see based on that criteria. God Bless and continued success
Thank you for your kind words Maurice! I agree with your philosophy but it does fly in the face of convention. It was a great idea to do a trial run in your van, I encourage everyone to do so if they can. May our paths cross one day.
I'm just starting with a 1994 Winnebago. We're living in it while we're renovating and its different and difficult sometimes but it's better than anything else we've done and we love it. The Winnebago is a pretty neat RV. Good luck to ya!

If that ever happens, I plan on meeting as many people as possible and watch every sun rise and sunset.
april asbahr God bless and heal you April. I was injured 18 mos ago and am 65. I would like to do this too. But I’ve got to get healed first. Alara
I’m sending Blessings to you.
Been disabled 10 years. Life changed for me too.
This video is motivating me.
@@soniagrindstaff2416 me 2!
Awww… ❤️… I too suffered a back injury that lead to surgery. All of which changed my life drastically. And not for the better. It not only is a physical pain but a mental pain as well. I have found myself watching these videos as well, just hoping for the day I am able to jump in my car and ride away. I’m also looking for a lot of mental health healing as I know the physical healing has come as far as it can……… 😞
Just do it and don't look back do it.
I want to give her a hug. She reminds me of my mom, and she seems truly happy. I'm jealous of her
So many retired people are only a little older than my children so I watch and enjoy Nomad videos vicariously. Thank you.
Bless your heart Diane and your ability to overcome the obstacles of life and bless your heart Bob for always being such a gracious interviewer and networker:)
God bless her...you can't put a price on peace of mind, and she's found it. Bravo!! An inspiration to all!!
I hope that Diane is still well and living happy. She is wonderful and so are you. I love your interviews.
I'm doing very well, ive been off the road taking care of grandkids but will be back on the road soon.
She is a sweetheart.. I'm happy her new life has brought her peace and healing. God bless.
Blessings to you Jimmy Fischbeck, as you transition into a better life, a life of healing.
I smiled and cried while watching, I have a desire to be free and escape the Matrix.
I totally understand!!!! I am so ready to go but can't seem to convince my husband!!!!!!
Me 2! I am going to start my plan this week.
Yes! Im starting to think the fewer attachments to material things, the better.
Me too
Same here.
I cried watching this. Cried with happiness for her. Love this story.
Enchanting.
What a beautiful lady. I'm so happy she escaped and healed.
Love this lady. I’m a Diane also. My dream is to be like you if something happens to my husband. I want to camp full time, but he does not want to do it. Thank you lovely lady
I REALLY like this lady! She is effervescent, has a great attitude and I hope to meet her someday.
What i like about this is, she is in her happy place and she seems at peace.God bless her.👍❤😀
This is one of my favorite videos. Every once in a while I come back and watch it again. I really like her attitude. She has my sense of humor and I like how she says things. A paid for home is worth a whole lot in the mental bank and this lady is funny, she's real, and she makes me smile. Thanks for this!
What an amazing woman! I could watch her all day! Her personality and outlook on life just shines ❤
Diane is delightful. What a great attitude and outlook on life!
She is such a nice lady and she's happy. That's what we all need. She found happiness.
I love you Diane! You inspired me and gave me a million smiles throughout the interview! That’s the real lottery winner!!!! Much love ❤️
Have tears in my eyes this lady is indeed an inspiration. Such inner wisdom!
Doris Shanks Wow what a wonderful comment I loved reading it Bob please interview her if you can.
Doris Shanks have a great life Sweety, you inspired me with so few words.
Laurie M
Thank you for your kind words.
Me, too! I want to meet you as well!
Doris Congratulations on your new life! Live the dream!❤
Happiness is just that simple.
What a wonderful human being.
My spirit raised watching this.
She took off her glasses and I thought 'she looks like my auntie!!!'
As soon as I saw her eyes I knew she was a beautiful person.
I wish my sister-in-law had seen these videos before she took her own life. She saw no way out. This would have been perfect for her.
Sorry to hear that🙏
So sad!
So Sorry to hear that
Sad
I'm so sorry
This is the fourth time I have watched this lovely lady on here... I am so happy for her ... It's so lovely to see people happy in nature...
Cool beans! I love to see someone break free and do what they want to do.
Thanks Tanner's Place, it can and has saved lives!
Tanner's Place "Cool beans". I haven't heard that phrase in a while. My sister use to say that all the time. I had a nice laugh seeing this.
Tanner's Place I want to do this. But not alone
some of de happiest people i know own hardly anything
Once our basic needs are met we don't need much!
I'm looking to hit the road soon!
Not sure where to begin, though.
Absorbing all that I can now.
Will be checking out website!
Wonderful comment!
@@DraggingDadAround ,wishing you endless happiness on your journey
True. So many people think that if they own the best, the biggest, the most expensive than they are superb than the rest of us!
i really likE this lady ,her honesty and just being herself. havin g had a breakdown myself, i wish i would have done this. i hope to in the future to do it.
I hope you are able to, Shelley!
Why take a bunch of pills when you can rove the country and not have to endure the Rat Race anymore!
Best of luck to you. I'd love to do it too, but I am 72 and know nothing about how to manage all the electronic stuff in an RV or trailer. Wish I'd done it 20 yrs ago! Well I salute everyone who's living this lifestyle and may God bless you ALL!
Coming from a young Woman from NY, you are a huge inspiration ! Thank you for sharing part if your love and your home with us.
I live in a 30ft, I’m 64 years old, I’m very happy and content!! God bless you!! Your place is beautiful.. mine is a 1989, it’s great
NO PITY HERE DIANE. I envy you. Keep going. Keep being happy.
GO DIANE!!!! Heal and be happy. Light and love to you.
I want to be a Nomad so bad!
Diane is delightful!
I watched again and still love her. Peaceful Sweet and Free!!!
i like the idea of a composting toilet. my husband made one and it's so cool. he uses cedar shavings and it smells so good.
Smells nice but cedar doesn't compost well...that's why it does so well as fence posts.... doesn't rot.
Horse pellets from Tractor Supply work well
I would like her and enjoy her company. She seems warm, at peace, has learned how to "just be", articulate, and a good feel about her.
God bless!
I love her honesty 💓 She's telling my story, too. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
What a sweet woman there are lots of folks who have everything but still aren't happy. Glad she's found happiness.
I dream of being able to live like this. I have pretty bad PTSD and the only thing that truly grounds me is being outside.
Hi Sherri, I don't know what your PTSD is from but I have CPTSD and agree totally with you. I go barefoot whenever possible....not so much in Texas with fire ants, but as much as possible. :D
Go for it Sheeri! I wish you the best and hope you take the plunge and go on an adventure!
Take a bus trip across country. It's like being in the ninth circle of hell.
We need to get a safe group of us together and create a support group to make these healthy life changes, go on the road as a group, find a beautiful campground, make a happy safe loving home.
you are adorable Diane....love that you are living a great life. Jealous of your cute little trailer. Enjoy, and always please be safe.
Wonderful woman. Love her puppies!! It’s so nice to see someone have such joy within their hearts and lives. God bless and surround her with His angels of protection.
She is sooooo happy 😊 you are an inspiration for many
God bless you Diane! You are an inspiration to me! O. Almost 62 and just picked up a 1979 motorhome. The feeling of hope is being restored day by day as I work on the inside and get it ready to move in and start my new life! Thank you for all your good information!
Love you sister!
I am working on doing the same thing. I hope to be traveling in next few months..I am a burned out grandma...lol
Happy trails Marie!
Life is just too much sometimes and the great outdoors is a wonderful remedy!
WTG!!! You saved yourself and that's a good thing because NOBODY else will do it for you. I'm trying to do this as well but can't seem to really get it going. You picked a great State. I love it there. The people are priceless and unforgettable. Have fun with your journey in life. No time for sadness or depression!
She healed my soul. God Bless her and her dogs. 🙏🏻😇
Im disabled and I plan on getting a van to turn into a camper once my daughter is grown.

@@carlasamuels479 😂🤣🥰 thanks for the chuckles 🤭
Lovely Diane stay strong my family were Romany gipsys and lived outside in wooden wagons in the uk 🇬🇧 it’s lovely 😊 how you left for the nature and freedom God bless you richly
Diane's art is fantastic. I hope she sees this post so she can send you a link to see for yourself!
Rowan Bowyer I would also love to see her art.
I would also like to see Diane's art.
What a beautiful lady. Thank you for your story.
Diane is a character. id love to be part of her community at any camp site. destroy wishes to her. this was a lovely interview.

Your RV is adorable Diane. Whatever life give us, one must do our best with honor and laughter. Love your amazing nomadic life style.
Wow, shes a very open & honest woman! Good interview Bob! 👍👍
she's the crazy dog lady just like me! I hope when I'm her age I will be as happy as she is!
and when she said "I got my art out" I knew she would be okay.
Awwww! What a sweet sentiment. Are you an artist as well?
Nice name. Worked with a Robert Harrison in Alaska
She’s blessed and has a great personality ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ happiness comes with in
Looking at a Winnie Brave for about $3,000.
That's just a really nice attitude to life x
This has helped me greatly today. Deeply sincere thanks.
I'm so happy to hear it Kyle, it was our pleasure!
She has the best outlook on life I have seen in a long time. As long as he is happy that is all that matters.
Crystal J. Williams- Ms. Diane you are a beautiful , sweet and wonderful lady. You are a good inspiration . I love your personality and you are a thankful person ! ❤️ If more people had your personality and were more thankful like you it would a better world! God bless you Ms.Diane! 🙏
What a SWEET lady with such a GREAT heart and SOUL! I wanna be like HER when I grow up.🙏😇
there is no way I feel sorry for Diane, I really envy her. haven't been able to make a transition like this but every time I seen someone as together as Diane I start dreaming a little harder. safe and happy nature time for you both
Thanks Chris, you are right there is no need to feel sorry for Diane, she has found what she was looking for. Peace, community, and freedom.
She seems like such a sweet lady! I'm glad she found her niche, her happiness and her sense of belonging. Awesome Interview!
you need to post that for those of us who don't remember
Wow! Bless her heart! I can easily see how that way of life worked so much better for her, and her obvious happiness shows that true joy can come from the simplest things. Great video. Thanks!
To say you have been down in life you did the right thing by getting out of that life, you are refreshing & an inspiration lady .loved this, makes me want to do it but a bit too old now, bless you, keep on enjoying your life hope to see you again, this was 5 years ago where are you now.
Imagine if we had campfire meetings with young and old alike. We would learn so much and enjoy simple pleasures. She is a blessing
How much wonderful will be this world with people like her and the ones in the community that are there to help those in need like she was time ago.
Thank you for sharing this with us Bob, it shown to those in doubt that this satori keep repeating it self on and on.
I only can say to the people thinking about this life to listen to the inner voice within and not the negative thoughts impose to us by the "rules of society"
Im on a fixed income but still work 30 to 35 hrs a week 62yrs good health and since 2015' been living in a 1999 Shasta 28ft RV I bought and have it on a friends property that i take care of in exchange for rent and just pay electric and water at $35 a month. I just regret not doing it sooner. Ive saved over $55k and still saving and not ready to retire anytime soon in Austin,Tx! Now getting ready this summer to trade my RV for a Beautiful 39ft Big Country and at a trade in price. Who says you can't live Happily in an RV? I Live it and living it!😁😂😂👍
For the 5 gallon bucket system, I've discovered trash compactor bags. They are heavy duty (punny) and a better size than contractor heavy duty bags.
