my french press had gotten loose and disassembled by itself. I didn't know in which order I should put them back together. So yes, this video was super helpful! Thanks.
Very helpful video. I'm not concerned about replacing my filter just yet, but I was definitely putting my assembly back together the wrong way, by trying to make the connection by screwing on the fitting at the bottom rather than turning the plunger rod itself. I will definitely keep you guys in mind when it comes time to replace my filters!
It’s funny how informative the video is yet it fails to mention that if you happen to be missing the lid stern (tiny yet vital piece) that sits atop & holds the 3 parts together... you’ll be drinking grinds! Like me. So no I can’t like this video bc I had to figure this out on my own haha.
Yep got myself a french press from the thrift store for two bucks, could NOT understand what was missing/going wrong. Stupid thing was missing that piece that keeps the filter pieces from moving up and down the rod. And now thanks to you I know what it's even called
Believe it or not, there are even worse videos out there. The Bodum French Press is the original. I've had mine for over 40 years. But there are tons of copycats out there and god help you if you watch one of those. Mine kept coming out completely backwards. I thought it was time to get on a plane for Zurich to be put down.
So I just found one of the 8oz ones but it does not have the spiral coil thing around the plate. I did a little bit of research and it sounds like only the last few years is where it had that coil . is that right ? something about improved filtering, or is that something else? I started researching because it fits too loosely, so too many grounds come up .
Just figured it out. That part goes on top of the filter and all the other discs, and you have to slide it down and screw it on a little bit until it catches the threads on the rod, then screw everything else together like he shows.
Do you know if the 3 parts metal filter can be replaced with the single part silicon one? Having to deal with a single part seems easier to clean and I know the silicon ring make it tighter but I wonder if the metal mesh has pros over the silicon ring model.
what if the bottom is so tight, and I am not able to replace the flitter? Each time I screw, and the upper one is already loosed faster than the bottom one
The piston on my press doesn't go down smoothly, and it's worse when pulling it up, it's new a used it twice everything perfect the I used it to froth some milk and that happened the next time I used it to make cofee, what could have happened?
I just got a bodum french press. It was a used one. I'm having trouble getting it apart to clean it... There's coffee grounds residue stuck to the screen filter etc... What can I do?
Incredibile that you asked this question 2 years ago and the video creater hasn't bothered to check the video to see if anyone needs help. I just love the 21st Century. Not.
Hey thanks for showing but this is the a terrible instructional video as I had to pause 3 times because the assembly is less than a fee seconds and the rest sales.
I appreciate your effort but found myself very frustrated. You go too fast and don’t show close ups to see needed details. It might work for people who need a quick refresher but I have never done.

I thought I broke mine out of the box 😂. It’s fine.
Thank you very much. My french press simply disassembled by itself and with your help I could assemble it back!
Love the round about way I found this video. Just found a french press today. Now im here. ❤
Saved the day for us as the one at our Airbnb came apart, big time.
Thank you! Needed to see how to put it back together. Much appreciation!
I thought I broke my cheap French press right out of the box 😂. Thank you 🙏🏼. It’s fine. You explained it all. 🙏🏼
Teşekkürler vidası çıktı ve nasıl yapılacagını bulamadım. Senin video çöpten kurtardı 🎉 😊

Omg thank you for this been trying to figure out how to attach the end back on the French press 😭

This. I went mad until I figured it out lol
I am having the same issue wondering what the little metal piece is for. What did you do with it?
Yep got myself a french press from the thrift store for two bucks, could NOT understand what was missing/going wrong.

@@patthekat2?? did you ever find-out 😟?

Phew! I forgot the order the parts went in as I was cleaning it! Thanks!
My filter will not come apart. Any suggestions?
Me, neither
Omfg THANK YOU I lost the instructions and was pissed because I couldn't figure this shit out 😅
Thank you for the measuring tip. I was afraid I'd need to know some exact brand / model number. This is MUCH easier.

What is missing from this video is the tiny little metal piece that screws on - where?????

@@ladiemalek464am I dum? Why tf are you the only who actually answered it 😂
Thank you for the tips!

what do you call the disk thats at the very bottom of the plunger? we have a broken one and cant find a replacement..
what if the bottom is so tight, and I am not able to replace the flitter? Each time I screw, and the upper one is already loosed faster than the bottom one
What about the lid stern?
Thank you, very useful!

Does the mesh filter take the bad cholesterol out like the paper filters? And also can u replace the mesh with paper
Thank you. I was doing it wrong, changing the order of the pieces.
THANK YOU!! i accidentally took my mums french press apart and i couldn't get it back together!
😂😂

Hey that’s the same brand that I own .
I buy mine from the Goodwill stores .
Me encantó!!! ♡
Thank you :)
I did it just like you but all the parts are moving along the body, cant be used.
aeropress vs french press guys? I own both, i prefer french press for multiple reasons.
Wonderful !
Thanks!

My press is this brand but it has another part….a small black plastic cylinder.
Your thumbnail was informative although you needed to slow down at the beginning before sending all those pieces flying. But it was helpful.
Noted! Thank you!
Lovely
Thanx alot

Thank you !!!!
This was a poor instruction. The order of assembly and orientation of the three parts was not adequately explained. Had to pause and study .
Did the put back too fast!
how the heck you screw up a simple asembly tutorial? you literally put back two allready connected parts out of four.
Need a closeup of screws.
Need to see more of what you are doing and less of you.
Thank you
Worst way to show people to do it he don't even tell you what at bottom and what the top
This should have been 1 Minute Tops!!! Fluff, fluff, fluff!!!
Total rubbish cannot see the process because of the subtitles
Nonesense
Me encantó!!! ♡
