    Sir g, is the following correct
    Being punished in the class, the student left the school = Having been punished in the class, the student left the school

    • @englishguruamansir
      @englishguruamansir  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The two sentences do not convey the exact same meaning, and the second one is more appropriate for the context.
      1. Being punished, he left the school.
      This sentence suggests that he was in the process of being punished when he left the school, implying that he left while the punishment was still ongoing. This might sound awkward or incorrect, as it implies simultaneous actions that don’t logically fit together.
      2. Having been punished, he left the school.
      This sentence indicates that the punishment had already been completed before he left the school. This sequence of events makes more sense: first, he was punished, and then, after the punishment was over, he left.
      Correct Sentence
      "Having been punished, he left the school."
      This one clearly conveys that the punishment happened first, followed by his leaving the school.
