Mate, that is just brilliant! I only watched up to1:48 'cause that's all I needed. I took pics when I dismantled the trap but my phone has packed in (EVERYTHING LOST!). It was particularly good to see how to replace the new chamfered washer I bought. Ta me old mucker, from a Man of Kent.

Thought i had broken my u bend bend clearing it as it wouldn't reattach, turns out I'm an idiot and the rubber washer was just stuck to the pipe in the wrong place. Thanks so much! :)

I've got this exact 'P' Trap under my sink but getting a very loose connection after the bend. Are you supposed to use sealent or something? Even with the nut hand tight the compression is the pipe is still really loose

There summat called plumbers caulk/putty or I'm using silicone. Keep it to the washers and avoid the threads. P.S. Just noticed you posted a year ago, but this A to your Q might help some one!
