I had no idea about this - really curious. I think the more it becomes a "right of passage" for people to sample Shiloh, the more it'll happen and the more people will want to take those samples further. It'll maybe become a self parody, or get to the point where, much like the Amen break it gets so messed up in some tracks, that it's a sort of badge of honour. "Look how far I've been able to take this while leaving it recognisable by you, the listener".

Did he ever explain the actual effects applied to the vocals he received? That's what I was really looking for.
He received them like that.
They’re pitched down an octave with some reverb.
Really like this sound, would love to see for the vox were processed, really trying to achieve this sound with samples, but always sound a bit off.
I’ll add it to the list for potential future vids! Thanks!! Until then, try messing around with pitch shifters like Little AlterBoy or Nectar. Pitch the vocal down an octave but keep maybe 10-25% of the original pitch in there too!
If you’re using samples, it often helps to slow/stretch the sample too!

Not everyone asks for fame, lots of people don’t like the attention, it’s a stressful environment with no privacy. I’ve played for some pretty big bands/artists before coming to TH-cam, I wouldn’t choose to famous either.
