Some of the Ecuadorian people are not to happy about it. Protests have begun there and around the world to free Julian Assange. Former President Correa has also spoken out against Mr. Assange's expulsion.

Rafael Correa did not grant Ecuadorian citizenship to Assange, this was done according to the country's constitution. Assange had resided for five consecutive years on "WHAT IS CONSIDERED LEGALLY ECUADORIAN TERRITORY", the embassy, duly applied for citizenship and since they were nothing in the process that violated the law. So a president cannot arbitrarily revoke Assange's citizenship, it must be done through the legal process.

After 10 years of a successful government by the last president Correa, "moreno" was elected to continue with the grow and independence Ecuador was having. But since he felt incompetent he decides to turn he's back to the 75% of Ecuadorians whom voted for him, even to a point that where he say that "he was starting to hate every single people that voted for him" this was mentioned in a reunion with the most wealthy and mean people in Ecuador.
Hey, share this if you want to.

There is an area in the interior jungles of ECUADOR full of oil the US wants to drill for oil and former governments refused the US that right.IT is an area unspoilt since the beginning of time. It is said to be an area that was untouched by THE LAST GREAT ICE AGE.It is my opinion that Lenin Moreno is being manoeuvred into giving up that asset because of anticipated inability of Ecuador to pay back that 10 billion dollar loan from the IMF& WORLD BANK.

This Guillaume Long guy turned out to be a brilliant speaker, despite my initial expectations. And he is such a young man, and already a former foreign minister, quite impressive. Sounds like a great choice for previous administration, based on what and how he says, explaining the Assange case and speaking strongly in favor of him and against the breaking of the international-law principles. Impressed with this guy and his clear, logically-structured speech. The nation of Ecuador should have kept him forever on his post and never let him go.
The corrupt bastard LENIN Moreno, on the other hand, should face all the consequences of his disgusting criminal decision. His parents made a huge mistake naming him LENIN, as if ridiculing us all. It could be worse though, as far as the twisted irony goes, if his name was Jesus.

Because the American justice system is corrupt. They will try him, if they don't just kill him, under the Espionage Act that Obama or even Bush began to use against all whistleblowers at the beginning of the first Gulf war for oil. It may actually carry the death penalty, but for sure it carries a life sentence if they want to use it. No evidence? No matter, just get a judge appointed by Trump or Bush and you are good to go! The military-industrial-complex wants payback for Manning and Assange showing them killing Reuters newsmen, children, and various people the crew of that craft KNEW for a fact to be non-combatants. They still do the same shit, but they bust the whistleblowers so fast now, due to NSA surveillance of everyone, and silence them, that we never even hear about it. America isn't trustworthy in ANY area these days and probably never was.

error in the presenter's script: Correa was Moreno's predecessor, not 'successor'. Correa was on the soft left, a democratic socialist in the current jargon, Moreno is a 3rd way social democrat like Blair or Bill Clinton (a neoliberal, iow). Correa would reverse this right now, if he could, but he would have to wait til Moreno is in jail (soon, it looks). The US govt has been working toward this since at least 2017 when Moreno took Correa's place.
I'm in UK, and bitterly ashamed of those damned Tories.

they've convinced themselves there is never any justification for strife, especially if it comes from the Left (because then they can rarely see what the justification is, as it's normally the reaction to the actions of the right, and as they all know, what the right does is always perfectly reasonable). Selective blindness.

    • @sherryburrows882

Think how I feel--I'm a Yank and I've been fighting the good fight for years to the best of my ability. Democrats are either complicit (Clintons and Obama) or powerless. Some of the new ones running for 2020 may actually be good for the country but it's way too late now. With Chump running things, he's going to "win" every election from here on out. And Americans are too stupid, lacking in attention spans, and absent any concept of history repeating itself, probably because we are just too young a country, to do the only thing that might be effective at this point in history--massive, continent-wide, civil disobedience. In the streets marching, all the time, never going home, massive boycotts of corporate stores, massive strikes in necessary industries, ignoring laws that ban them. Stopping the economic boom that keeps the money going to the elite and military-industrial complex. But when poverty still means people have homes to live in,, even though the bank owns them, and food on the table, especially if that is processed poison that's killing most of us, and some healthcare, nobody wants to risk what little they have. Once we're all homeless and hungry and hurting, it's going to be far too late to stop the train of fascism. So I'm trying to stop the input since I don't have long to live anyway and remember that in the long run, what comes around goes around. Just because my countrymen don't have a grasp of history, I do, and it appears that we must have a breakout of fascism every now and then just to remind people. Also, no Empire lasts forever and it's our time. I just hope we can pull down these evil rich fuckers and make them suffer with the rest of us. I like the way the French and the Russians run a revolution, personally, and think we ought to try it. I'm really tired of one bunch doing all sorts of war crimes and atrocities and the next bunch pardoning them and letting them keep their ill-gotten gains. Betsy-fucking-DeVoss doesn't need 11 yachts--let's burn a few to the waterline, eh?
