    I simply loved this video format with subtitles! I'm Brazilian, so I'll be able to listen and watch your video several times in your beautiful British accent. I'm working hard to become fluent so I can more easily understand clean, polished English. Thank you for your beautiful work! May God bless you and your family, today and always!🙏♥️😘🥰🇧🇷

    Hi from Sardinia! Firstly, to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have bought my young kids the I-Pads. When they are young you may control them with time restrictions etc. As soon as they grow up a bit, they start wanting more and more, one day they'll lock their doors and you will not know what's happening inside...anyway, I've never been addicted to anything, but I agree with your grandma that "a bit of what you fancy does you good"..."moderation" is the key word. Ciao....🖐️🤠

    Well Anna, basically I had a period like that when I played quite a lot. I was first more into adventure or strategy games before moving to action games, one of which especially I would spend hours in a row playing online. But after a while I realised how insanely and unreasonably addictive and chronophageous it was and such a loss of time in fact and eventually I totally stopped it and quitted overnight to re-emerse myself into music and guitar, my true passion and that I had almost abandonned because of gaming. I've also developed since then a passion for poetry, which I write in English, and, in the end, it is all infinitely more rewarding!
    As far as kids are concerned, I absolutely agree with you on the importance of setting frameworks and limitations, while at the same time passionately opening them up to as many other things as possible, so that gaming which is as we know powerfully addictive, doesn't become at no cost their sole focus of pleasure and interest!
    You know ...I might have become addictive to you now my lovely ;-) 😊🤗
    Love, Bisous ! 😘🌹❤

    Even though I’ve already listened the podcast, the experience with a subtitled video is even better 😀

    Hi Anna, you have a MAGNIFICENT voice, plus you are a great storyteller and I can see that you always put a lot of effort into your videos. I guess there are hours and hours of editing and preparation. Thanks so much for your time and passion.

    Bombjack is my earliest memory of videogames as well. My mum was a cleaner in a pub, and they had the arcade machine. I used to have to stand on a stool to play it.

    Sorry, Anna, could you tell me how I can improve my listening skills through your learning episodes? Listening to them likes watching videos?

    • @EnglishLikeANative
      @EnglishLikeANative  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course, listening to an episode while reading along is a great start, but you then need to deeply understand what you heard. So I recommend actively listening, then noting down any words or phrases that don't quite make sense to you, then find out what those words mean and coming back and listening again. You can get access to 100 downloadable podcast transcripts, bonus episodes and vocabulary lists with meanings and examples, for the more recent episodes by getting the 1-100 Bundle for $20. englishlikeanative.co.uk/elan/podcast-materials/1-100-bundle/

    Addiction appears when child's emotions is reacting to the game and forgets to the world... games for logical skill is bowring for child, therefor when child is gaming is focusing to win no to learn some skill ....parents are allowing children to be addacted when gets ipad in small age ....advice is befor getting ipad from parents child has to know one thing that making gamer and audience in same time in game that princip its emotions or senses do not react to game and also to avoid addication .over in each game is nice colors ,acts ,nice voices it is some attraction for children therefor parents have to explain that princip ....to avoid addication .

    Good morning, I would like to know if it is possible to somehow contact Rebecca, the girl who made the scouse accent video. Liverpool has always fascinated me, and she is from Liverpool. How can I do this? I would like to ask her maybe something about this beautiful city. thank you very much.

    Bomb Jack was on the Atari ST which was a PC, not a games console.
    007 Goldeneye is a Nintendo game and was never on the PlayStation.
    As with everything, you need to find a balance. Don't just blame video games.
