I understand how it could be overshadowed by Mission Impossible but having bad reviews?? What?? This was a great film and gave a fresh breath to spy films imo

When I first finished it and it said, "Guy Ritchie" it suddenly dawned on me that he did Sherlock Holmes, which are included in my favourite films. It's a travesty this didn't get a sequel. I don't even remember this film being advertised, most fans likely saw this years after it was released.
I LOVE this film. I'll never understand the bad reviews. Perhaps it just wasn't dumbed down enough for the average theater-goer? The worst part now is that even if they found a financier, Hammer wouldn't be involved...Their chemistry is so important

Let's get a sequel going already, with the U.N.C.L.E. organization, Thrush, gadgets. This was a great film. I saw the series as a kid and of course have the complete series on DVD.
As a kid in the sixties I couldn't get to a theater to see a James Bond movie. Since this was a tv show I got to see it then. This movie did a great job of capturing the show and I've lost track of how many times I've watched it.
I respect the practical action, but the car stuck between the building and the truck boat shots i think would be better with a bit more realistic physics and i would not care if it was CGI. It took me out of the flow both times.
Excellent movie; obviously an attempt to start a franchise (which would have been great of course). I guess the kids of the last decade didn’t get it; it was probably too sophisticated for their liking.
Henry Cavill in this is the best James Bond since Sean Connery. Or a toned down Archer. I don't understand how this movie was not a big hit, and the depressing James Bond movies were.
I thought this will be a starting Point for a realy good Agents Movie Series like 007. Loved that movie and the cutting effects. Hope they think about the 2nd movie. As a kid i was watching UNCLE at the television to.
There is something I have never understood about The Man from U.N.C.L.E. I watched the whole TV series, and, I never once viewed David McCallum, as Illya Kuryakin, as being big or burly... He was a weapons expert, and a bit standoffish, but never seemed physically intimidating. Yet, every representation of him, be it in spoofs like in Darkwing Duck, where he was a massive, irritable Russian bear, and even this movie, where he is a near psychotic strongman, all seem to focus on his having been this massive Russian powerhouse, in place of his logic and finesse in using guns and rifles, and the like.
This movie should have killed. One of my favorite movies ever. It's got everything best of the best filming location, cast, the acting, the music, cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, guns, fighting 1960s.

What are they talking about!? This movie was a GREAT ride. Fun, fast-paced with a lot of humour mixed in. Still pissed they didn't make a sequel!

Fleming did not write the Man from UNCLE and the movie was super. I am an original, 1964, Man from UNCLE fan so have high standards!

This was actually a very good film. I loved the interaction between Henry Cavill and Arnie Hamer. It deserves a sequel.
