- In this episode we are back on the roman coin hoard site!!
Recently we found 35 roman coins in a small area of this field and the coins have since been handed over to the F.L.O as treasure.
Sure that we have cleared the find spot of coins we have returned with specialist equipment in order to see if we can find a larger buried cache of coins which we believe might be in this field.

Two box detectors do have their place in detecting. I used a White’s TM-808 that I got back in the 90’s. We found some caches and even a couple of caves. It was definitely a specialized tool. I had to give it up unfortunately when I had my hips and knees replaced. Best of luck on your adventure on those fields…John

Hey that's great Michael - such a good scenario for the X-Trem, partic. as you've rinsed the area with the D2's We have a 'slghtly' similar permission up here - *Definite* Roman and Bronze Age movement in the area. The difference tho' is that we haven't found anything yet... Joking aside tho' I'm almost certain it's there - just something about the soil in that area - I think everything's too deep now, so we just find old pre-decimals... I bet it’s exciting to use the Xtrem on perms which have been done to death simply because it adds a whole new level of searching. It’s the digging down 4 metres but that will be the real challenge ha! Mate, looking forward to hearing what you can come up with Bobby, take your time though mate 👍👍
@@OMA_MetalDetecting Definitely (on the X-Trem) matey - I get a 'little bit' of that going back over perms I've gridded out with the Deus 1 - but obvs. it's only a small difference there... 😆 But yeah, on the music front - it's a good experience actually. I've modified a song I've been putting off recording for ages - so it's forced me to make a start on it, in lots of ways... 🙏 It's maybe serendipitous, but this song, (and my 'plan B' piece) both have titles with 'detecting connotations', so we have 'So much Good Stuff...' and 'When we First Struck Gold!...' Ha ha... Surely it's a Sign of Sorts anyways?... Take care then Michael and I'll keep in touch... B 🐭

It seems like a awsome machine.. but havent seen anyone actually find anything with them..
Think GPR is more usefull for the deeper stuff even though they are Aimed towards different things.
From what I know so far, if there’s something down there it will find it and bigger the better. Digging metres down will be the real challenge though! We will continue to search this field for the hoard so fingers crossed. Thanks for the comment 👍👍

Yes, you can find any item/material you want so long as you can visualise it. I was triggering off of everything - even fairy rings so I went and had some training off a master dowser a couple of weeks back and now I can discriminate and do a whole lot of other things :) @@OMA_MetalDetecting

What is even more odd is that you can do it remotely aswel - on Sat afternoon I visited a friends house in Bucks after dowsing for an underwater stream from Wales and found it with my rods! In the morning I was visiting a field and trying to find the owner - the field has been dowsed and is suppose to have 60 Gold Celtic coins in it! @@OMA_MetalDetecting

So, why did you not show what the targets you marked were? That should be the only question being asked here? Were they non-ferrous as you suspected? How big were they etc etc?
All targets could not be picked up with a conventional metal detector and so we assumed they were deep. Obviously we didn’t have time to dig them on this occasion but don’t worry, we will be back for sure 😊👍

No Thanks ,, i,l stick with my Deus 1. at least I get signals in all the fields I detect in.
I certainly wouldn’t swap this for my metal detector but honestly if you come across a site which is seeded with coins this machine is really an essential tool 👍👍

Detech relic striker I hit single coins well over 20 inches deep .my minelabs ext do not stand a hope in hell compared to the detech . people dont like to try or even think about using anything what Int in fashion nowadays
