- In this video, I show two ways - affordable and handcrafted - of making your own heavy saree. I have been making clothes for more than ten years and I decided to share some of my tricks and tips with my audience. This saree is timeless, elegant and season-less. Loved this video about "making your own clothes". There's hardly any out there that can give us tips and ideas on customizing and personalizing our own clothes. I'm not a fashion designer but I love pretty details but I'm always lost on how to execute an idea I see on pinterest - or what instructions to give a local tailor. This was helpful. Wish I found a little more info on how to get the satin "backing" on borders.

Used border from an old saree.
Made blouse from the old saree ka pallu. Looks amazing.
