i just got the new X8 duo... dual ports and can combine each ch up to 50amps charging and usb c fast charger for phones or laptops or power banks ... i do have x6 didnt use it as much still on a beta firmware works fine so i leave it alone ..,i use my 406 icharger a lot as its a power beast but the new x8 duo is also enough power as i can combine the ch 1/2 to do 50 amps charging ..my 406 can do 72amps peek combine ch 1/2

Wow I may have got mine too soon. I would have got the duo if they were available at the time.
I have found my old 3010b my go to for discharging though.

@@TWSreviews the x8 duo was announced like 4 months ago but due to covid in China and supplies short and workers it got pushed back.. good thing about icharger if you do sell it they hold their value don't lose much on this newer ones . I think you'll love the 8x duo it will clean up and simplify your set up even more.. there is a x6 duo coming out soon after if you'll be doing up to 6s only .

    What balance boards are those?

They were from HobbyKing. Had them years ago. I liked them because the had the protection diodes. It’s worth paying the extra in case you try and plug a battery in back to front

I was just about to go on me bike...and it started raining...Got 150kms on it now tho ....I think you need a nice cheap 36vdc PSU off eBay now...🤔🤔😳😀🇬🇧

Oh yes….Please send me a link for PSU. I want a good one but not a server psu. I had a bad experience with a 10A one as kept dropping out if I used anything over 5A after about 10 mins of charging. I don’t think the rate is for constant load.
I was fancying the ISDT PSU on HobbyRC. If I was rich.
My bike has 80 miles so far. Another two rides and it’s in for its free service. Weather is terrible.
Shocked to hear QuadcoptersUK closing. I went to order a camera and VTX and all out.
Ordered a few bits and bobs that were on offer. Sad news…

@@TWSreviews Well, you're spoilt for choice on EBay for these, as little as £15 to £25....If you want to pay a bit more for a decent one, then I can recommend Meanwell as a brand name for PSUs. We used to use them in our Laser Cutting machines, very reliable.
If you want to waste money, go ahead and buy the ISDT PSU....It wont charge any better though... lol.

@@EnglishTurbines Im not rich so ISDT can stay on the shelf. I was mistaken it was SkyRC 380W 24V I was fancying but also too expensive. I am aware they are badged as the same PSU is branded as Spektrum and even more expensive. The Mean Well is what I have on my 3D printer. They are good and they do one that is fan cooled etc. Looking right now......you have started something now...lol

@@TWSreviews The cheapo one I have had had some heavy use over the last 8 years...My only complaint is the noisy fan until it warms up...Maybe you are overstretching the supply doing parallel charging. ? Never a good idea BTW....🤔😳😳

Hi Sir, can you give an update how the X8 is performing compared to the i3010 ? Are you satisfied with the performance an handling of the X8 ?

Hi, I find it really easy to run pre programmed charge routines. However if you want to run different current settings for different battery arrangements manually it is very clumsy. It charges fast and well balanced but seems to cut off too early. Gets to 4.20v per cell then ends. When I remove the battery they are 4.18v. Safe but would prefer it to cut off at 4.21v so the battery is 4.19v of 4.20v. However, you can define the finish voltage in the settings but has a warning ⚠️ cell over voltage risk symbol all the time.
