I think it is 115km/h but just in a few places where stations are a long way apart such as part to the runs to Werribee and Sunbury. Possibly Pakenham, but I’m not sure about that.
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but is this a " NOT IN SERVICE" train? Because I thought there were no express trains that run on the Alamein line
Clearly it is not in service as it doesn’t stop at any stations anywhere. Technically it is an Empty Cars run, but if I put that, hardly anybody would know what it meant.
I have covered most if not all of the lawn, but just not in one hit. You should find relevant sections alphabetically under Belgrave and possibly Ringwood. Melbourne - Driver's View Trains th-cam.com/play/PLLtOIHp49XNDtaNr2H41P2th0S56s6bIH.html
Cool video. I'm guessing this is after the morning peak service from the city to Ashburton then returning not in service to stable at Camberwell for the afn/evening peak?
I can only comment about Riversdale Rd. The downgrade to the crossing is very much like how Gardiner was, and that solution was to put the railway in a trench. That would almost certainly be the solution here as well.
I did check when preparing that video, and fairly recent information from the transport department was that there are no plans at present to remove that crossing. So at this stage there’s no point in speculating.
I think it was recorded on 4K. Dimensions of the raw video are 3840x2160, Codec AAC, H.264 and file size is 4.29GB. iMovie reduced this to 1.42GB, the best available. No doubt TH-cam further reduced this significantly.
Great video and scenery
😊👍

Impressive work!👍👍

5:00 reminds me of the rare morning down run to Riversdale; not sure if it still exists
I think it does still exist.
😊👍
What is the fastest speeds on the network?

Quite possibly, or after the pm peak. Any shadows would be the clue.
If both Riversdale Rd and Prospect Hill Rd were listed for removal, what would the best approach be?

@@tressteleg1 hmmmmm you're probably right.

I don't want Riversdale Station level crossing removed!
I heard the sound of the ETCS system.
😊
Nice but consider to go 4k. It adds to the quality and video will last longer.
