The MV was, seemingly, related to Dante's Inferno. Let me expound my thoughts. If you've watched it thoroughly, you can see there was a sign beside the elevator- "The Virgil". In a nutshell, this MV is indeed based on that book. Those two bad guys are the sinners. The elevator is inferno or hell (with reference to Dante's Divine Comedy ). Bella's portraying "Karma" and the devil herself 😈 . Sub Urban's character is very cryptic. I mean he was a bartender-a server. Metaphorically, he details the punishment for the sinners i.e. Lightning (The Lust Storm) from the 2nd Layer of hell, Dirty-Muddy water (Stinking and decaying water of the Styx river) from the 5th Layer of hell, and Ice ( A Frozen Lake) from the 9th Layer of hell. I forgot 'bout the bee swarm, I think this is from the gate of hell? It was mentioned in Dante's book tho; "forever running behind a banner and eternally stung by hornets and wasps".
Bella's power literally came from the Book of Dante's Inferno and the 9 Layers of Hell 🔥 In Dante's Inferno, there are 9 Circles of hell, and the bottom most circle of hell is a frozen winter wasteland with a frozen lake in the middle where Satan's Body is frozen waist down. The symbolism of Dante's Inferno is displayed in this mv, also in that mud pouring scene, because in one of the circles, the dead are forced to swim in the mucky water of the River styx, some even choke in them.
