NZ is more unsafe at times than even Taliban ruled Afganistan. Anyone can loot, beat or kill you unlike most other countries. The police don't do anything except catching traffic rule violators. Guns are easily available illegally. Please don't judge a place by the surface.

You need to watch your camping gear as weather is very unpredictable here. We were caught out once when temperatures plunged to below freezing near Blue Lake in North Island and kids had to huddle into our sleeping bags to stay warm ….hypothermia is a real issue so don’t take chances. You can purchase good quality gear from places like Macpac, Kathmandu, Torpedo 7 etc as nothing is more precious than life.

2. Low density of auto shops. Specially in rural areas.
3. Try too avoid south part of chhattisgarh. (Sukma, dentewada. Etc. Because of Nexal)
