I've been in one recently. When i was 12, I knew this girl, she was shy but had a really unique personality. I often spoke with her and then eventually became her friend. We had a lot in common. And since she was a back bencher, I always sat besides her as she didn't have any other friends. So, I introduced her to my friends and she eventually came out of her shell.
Now, I am nothing more than just a background character to her. She has tons of friends and has become really social. I still meet and talk to her sometimes but only for homework and stuff. But she never starts the conversation and let alone greets me ;-;
