@@tugcedumlupinar I am genuinely curious as to why you are not an illustrator for books. You clearly have great skill and talent. So many artists out there don’t have the skill set you have or the critical eye for detail or impression. I feel like the world is missing out on your talent because while these videos are beautiful and entertaining, I don’t feel like they are the perfect forum for your skill level.
But I do understand the difference between creating art for yourself versus creating art for work or for others.

Seconded-- try it! Working with other media will improve your graphite work. Plus, you can always do a halfway thing where you do an underlayer in gouache, then go back in with a pencil and clean up. I'm a little biased because I love gouache, but the principle holds true for me too (I've actually been trying to use more graphite the past couple years so I can push myself). Keep up the good work :)

When you paint something, you always have that "ugly phase" moment, that requires pure faith in the process. Still makes me panicking after so many years of painting. Beautiful artwork, I love the details.

Especially love how you layer leaves/flowers with different shades :) Could you please recreate one of ghibli’s floral scenes like Flower wall/garden from Spirited away or flower garden from Howls moving castle? Your liking in painting the leaves, actually is relaxing to watch. Good job. I have not used much of the traditional media. It sparked to me, I should really start painting using traditional media. Gouache seems reasonable to control, not as watercolor.

The problem of a new one who try to draw and paint sth is they really scared it will be ugly but I believe during the first drawing everything is same until u can create your own genuine painting 🖼 ❤

you are the first painter that i have watched in my life. i was captivated by the way you brought a plain and lifeless drawing to life, using a brush which you held and used as if it was a light and smooth pencil, creating seemingly effortlessly. your skills are breathless, and when you flipped through the book at the start i was shocked for i truly believed they were pictures at first glance. i too wish to become a painter, and i wish that one day i'll be able to add in the same subtle details as you can and think ahead and steady your hand patiently, not just in painting, but in every other thing that i love and am passionate about. i loved this video :)

MARAVILLOUS PAINTING
i am learning so much from your videos about how to use gouache. what i always find difficult is layering light colours against dark colours. the light colours always come out way darker then im expecting or just dont cover enough over the dark colour. i am learning so much about this from you in seeing you layer plants and how you start the drawing. thanks a lot!
Some paints have less covering ability. In such cases, apply two coats without disturbing your painting.
