100% a natural model, you could tell from both the photos and the bts video. And I know it's easy to say but she should enjoy her smile, I bet everyone she encounters does like I do.
Literally! I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up or pass out (or both) 😂 I often think how different this would’ve all turned out if she said “no”, or if she was super rude somehow. I probably would’ve abandoned the whole idea. 😂
@justinveenema Again, I sense an alignment within the universe! 😂 I love "The Origin Story" from Dylan above - exactly true! Keep going! Amazing how quickly you've come in just a year! Definitely meant to be! You're an inspiration to all of us standing at the edge, wondering if we dare to start wading, until we find out we're swimming just fine! 😄
Wow this is sick! I'm a photographer who really wants to do something like this but I'm wayyy to terrified haha. This vid is definitely a motivator lol
Awesome! Such a nice person and really nice pictures. some people don't like themselves smiling, but I think there's nothing more beautiful than a person with an honest smile. 😊
What a fantastic start to photographing strangers! Hope she sees this and knows what a difference she made. She made your first experience so positive it encouraged you to keep going.
Keep up the good work Justing. I love the positivity you bring into people lives. Some might say that you are just taking photos, but I think it's more than that. Every interaction you make brightness up someone's day and makes it better, which I think is one of the best things a human can do. I actually bought my first camera a month ago and thanks to your videos I'm preparing myself to do the same thing as you. I want to develop a skill where I'm able to come up to strangers and connect with them, while making their day better. Right now I'm just taking my friends for photoshoots to actually learn the photography basics, but with time I will get there. So yea I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you do and continue to put smiles on people faces. Take care :)
Dude I'm crying seeing how far you've come, and it lets me know that I'm allowed to do this very same thing and I don't have to let the fear hold me back.
Beautiful images with a lovely bokeh😊… I think you should have taken a few with a slightly narrower aperture to get some of that beautiful background in as well. But congratulations on your first day shooting Strangers❤
The universe conspired with your resolve and delivered a professional model to be your first human subject! Or maybe your intuition was drawn to her natural, easy confidence honed by her modeling experience. However it happened, she was a perfect subject to help you out of your shell.
The Portraits are great don't get me wrong, I really do love them but you missed the point of the beautiful backdrop a bit, because it's completely blurred out. Just to be clear this is in no way a critique towards the photos, they are great portraits. (Just wish it was more of an environmental portrait because you talked about the backdrop in the beginning)
She is stunning, no surprise she is a model.
Whoa, this is insane! Do more like this!
So many more on the way! 🫡
She does have a nice smile. It's funny how many people are self-conscious about their smiles.
It’s the most common thing I’ve seen! It’s super rare for someone to love their smile on-camera (even though they’re arguably the best photos)
She's absolutely beautiful 😮

“I literally hate the smile”…. And she has the most incredible smile, it literally made me smile. Excellent impromptu photos of a complete stranger.

Beautifully captured story, Justin. Thank you for inspiring photographers like me (introvert or not).

And your pictures touch the heart, beautiful!

She's a gorgeous woman with an awesome smile. You captured her beautifully. You definitely have to continue doing people as well as dogs!!😢

Exquisite. Nothing less.
She was a good choice and you worked well with her.

Vancouver BC
"As a matter of fact, I am the superest supermodel. Thank you for asking."
You sound so much like Sam Hurd, the wedding photographer and TH-camer.
Beautiful clicks man!
WHAT?!?!?! You hate the smile???? The smile solidified the beauty.....
Your in vancover??!!!
Yep! Have been taking stranger portraits in Vancouver for the last year. 😊
Great... seems like you done that loads of times....
I feel like this will get a lot of views

The backdrop is perfect gorgeous bokeh!!
He said the background is awesome but he use so much depth of field that it is only bokeh and not able to recognise a bit of the background
Do you have to get written permission from the people you photograph before posting them online?
I think I've seen her in a women's clothing catalog.
