It's funny how in the 90's and early 2000's Garage was purely a London sound and yet lately i'm hearing Jaykae (Brummy) a lot on UKG tracks and even Aitch (Mank)! I'm here for it this tune's giving me all kinds of nostalgia! Keep em coming it's the one Urban sound alive in the UK that's still for us and only us.
It was mainly a London sound however when I went to Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham early 2000s I found a few pirate stations playing Garage, the Cardiff one was even called 'Garage FM' and was strange to hear Welsh Garages MCs spitting lyrics on UKG.
I honestly thought I heard every garage song (and lived all except “do you really like it”). Wow this blew my mind! Amazing! Big up the garage beat…respect rudimental bringing it back!
