They reappear in Metroid Fusion and apparently are the same ones Samus saved: they repay the favor by helping Adam start the ship and get it to safety, so it can come back to rescue Samus after she defeats the Omega Metroid.
While this does of course look silly, it does make me appreciate so much more how incredibly well done the animation is on the EMMIs. I never noticed how incredibly creepy their movement is going back and forth.
Even nicer is how the devs seems to patch some of the sequence breaks that softlock the game. Not as in "make it impossible to achieve" but "make the resulting encounter end normally" fashion.

Could you imagine if there WAS an EMMI like this that you are able to reprogram and then it helps you throughout most of the game (as in attacks other EMMIS, uses its ability to help you etc) but near the end Raven Beak takes control of it and thus you’re forced to destroy it? Starting to think this particular Emmi is glitched. When I encountered it, it would run into me, but wouldn't trigger the death cutscene. Eventually, it just diappeared and soft locked me in the room.
@@rtmlhm Well, maybe you can use it to kill other EMMIs, but they don't get slowed by the omega stream so they'll catch you long before you break their face. Like, their faceplate starts to heat up, you just don't have enough time.
@@rtmlhm cannon facing left is a "myth" in the fact that its tied to the zone you aquire it in as well as the possition of the command unit door you skip breaking, so to anything the left side of that room you would face right and if you move to another zone you can aim it both ways
I found last week and had no idea why, I think because you don’t enter through the central unit door the game places the emmi in the standered spot, depending on where you enter from, but is unable to move due to not being programmed to start from there.

Omg! I would LOVE for the EMMI to be playable in the next Smash! That'd be so neat! However, unfortunately, knowing typical Nintendo, they'll most likely end up crushing those dreams by making the EMMI an assist trophy, thus pissing a lot of fans off in the end! :(
@@emmareiman64 Yeah! He could be almost like a Pokemon Trainer clone except with several E.M.M.I to switch between instead of a few Pokemon. They all have the same features and powers like in the game, plus more moves to do with those. Basically, they have the same capabilities as in Dread but expanded upon to make different unique movesets for each one based on their main powers/abilities. For example, the Spider E.M.M.I can do more spider like things other than just climb and crawl all over the place. Morphball E.M.M.I can literally turn into a ball and even use bombs and cross bombs. Speed E.M.M.I can charge at opponents and use Shinespark when it's speed boost is charged. Ice Missile E.M.M.I can freeze opponents and can shoot all kinds of missiles. Wave E.M.M.I can shoot Wave Beam blasts and even phase through solid objects. And, the Power E.M.M.I can shoot Power Beam blasts, Charge Beam blasts, and also use the Power Bomb. Finally, Quiet Robe can be seen operating each E.M.M.I we control and he can be seen in the battle end screen with his E.M.M.I.

Not really. Samus herself gets a little glitch at times (you can sometimes see through her model) but omega beam more or less works fine outside the emmi zone. I believe it also aims up by default.

What is the best metroid dread finish time you have mine is 3:35 and I'm proud of that given I feel I am a casual gamer but I bet most other people have done or will do better than me
Darn it! The last guy who pointed out Nintendo's game glitch like this was in Mario 1's underwater level bug. Nintendo threw a tantrum and gave us the fiendishly difficult Mario 2 (the lost levels). Now we can expect Metroid's next title to be Metroid: an inch of your life/clinging to life (depending on whether it's NTSC-U or PAL release)

The game is made with these sequence breaks and glitches. Always has been part of the game. Fun to discover
they are making mince meat of it really. Teleports, shooting through walls, and falling through floors. probably gunna be sub 30 min after a year.
