Pat never talked about the war very much and what went on. I don’t know if he had any say as to where he was going or not but he sure wasn’t a lot of different places. Thank you John. I really appreciate this. Love and miss you guys.
I went through that Air Force job process about 29 years after this film. I wish it had been this inspiring. In the end , though, I enjoyed my job and always worked with people who got along on the job well (off duty was another story sometimes). In the end, my experience made me aware of the haphazard training encountered in civilian life.
dudes on the test cell with no eye or hearing protection…. I became an Navy aircraft electrician 45 years too late back in 1986. Awesome video, never thought they would have had those maintenance trainers then, just thought those guys learned it OJT, pretty freakn awesome
Tried to get in back in early 70s handicap wouldn't let me but if so would have did my 20 and been trained for life.....so if your under 30 and want a career go for it!!!you won't regret it
I've read military technical manuals and they weren't NEARLY as pedantic as your written synopses. At least you took the time to clean up the audio on this video...

I hear John Garfield's voice in narration.
I doubt in real life that sergeant would of let him ask that many questions!😂
Nothing about an "advanced air drone" at 00:50. He said "Take this advanced airdrome" meaning look at this base beyond the planes and pilots.
Well he literally said "beyond the planes and pilots" but the "advanced" means that it's near the front.
Yay
'There's a war going on but where are the politicians?'
Cavorting with the enemy.
...but we'll never know what job Joe picked.
The Army Air Corp. picked it for him what else
Okay
no job for pilots
