This was so satisfying. I became a bassist because I love picking out the right part of a song as it's so important to the final result. I guess a lot of musicians don't realise how much those details matter.
I just picked up a bass after 25+ years and thanks to isolating instrument technology realize years ago I was playing sweet emotion by Aerosmith wrong . A close facsimile but no cigar. I also misunderstood what Plant was singing more than once . Lol
During the 80s and 90s I played in a heavy metal band and, back then, Metallica was the bane of my existence. Lol. With no tabs, or isolated tracks, I had to either try to figure out what Cliff Burton was doing on the parts with distortion and wah pedal (which just sounded like noise on stuff like Call of Ktulu), or I had to try to find Jason's bass lines buried so deep in the mix you needed a shovel to get to them.
Some more I can think of are Space Cowboy by Stewart Zender, Memphis Soul Stew by Jerry Jemmott and Superstition by Scott Edwards (bassists obviously not bands)
nice presentation, thanks for sharing
no problem, thankyou for watching! 🙂

Some great bass playing in that track!
Hey! Why your vids take so little views? That's unfair for such a good material.
