South Africa Beat India #onthisday in final of sharjah 1996. this was southafrica 1st title at uae( sharjah). Gary Kirsten Scored Match Winning hundred batting 1st, Symox also scored half century batting at no 3.
India have a good start, Sachin scored half century but some silly runouts including sachin cost them the game. Sachin, azhar, Manjrekar all 3 runouts when they were ser on the crease. Ind need 90 in last 10 having 6 wickets in hand but lost last 5 wickets for very few.

Nayan Mongia was so engrossed in appealing for caught behind that he did not notice Pat Symcox out of his crease on 2 occasions. He could easily have had him stumped. Remember a placard that was put up by a spectator while this match was going on after that miss by Mongia that read "Nayan Mongia, first stump and then appeal". Highlights packages unfortunately do not have these footages. Remember watching this match live as a 10 year old. Golden days of our life....Thanks for the upload brother...God bless you
