Love the new look and the music! The new level design feels more thematic for what Zera as a project has become. I'd say the initial design felt like a fun homage to platformers past but didn't have its own identity, whereas this feels much more mystical like the title implies. The music around 0:50 seems like it might be a little bit too intense for what's happening on screen but I really like it nonetheless. The string samples evoke a light sense of majesty while still staying fun and upbeat.
Dude, you should not feel insecure about this level, or any aspect of this game! This is incredible!!! I love every aspect of this level. Also, the soundtrack is FIRE
Looking good, sounding good! Can't wait to play it! (It'd be cool to have Leap Castle - the daytime version with the frogs - as a bonus level of sorts in the game, instead of scrapping it completely... Maybe something like Gnasty's Loot in Spyro 1? Just a thought...)
Music is seriously awesome. I like the level rework, too. Never saw lilypad castle, but campared to leap castle I like the colours, look of the level design, and aesthetic better.
Man, every new level feels like a gift, the music is sooo good! I love the transition towards more exciting and vertical levels, it makes Zera's moves feel more in place. The new Leap Castle feels less linear somehow (speedrun/collectathons benefit more from more open levels like stone hill / mystic marsh anyway, imho). I am slightly worried about the difficulty curve for new players though
Fuck the haters, this music is awesome and def fits the style. If people start speed running your game I can see montages already with this track in the background
Honestly, I feel like the original layout did a better job easing new players into learning the mechanics. This looks more like a challenge version of the level for players who are more confident making jumps over bottom-less pits.
This versions main path is honestly far easier than the original and shorter as well. The side paths are more branching and difficult however, and that's intended.
I downloaded and have been playing the game but idk how to jump that far. Can anyone help? I can only glide a very shot distance. How do you do that flip in the air and then seem to jump higher/further?
If Zera were a D&D npc, she would probly be a celetrial or benevolent monstrosity, who is native to the Blessid Feilds of Elesium, and gets allong well with flumphs. ... Flumph: The only good alligned aberarion in the game, and they reseble Pastapherious. ... Monstrosity: Hybred animals, who's genisis is artifically created by mortals. ... Celetrial: Basicly an angel or simular creature, who serves a belevolent God or panthion. ... Elesium: the pure netral-good afterlife, that resembles the gentler aspects of nature, and traps you by being so plesent that you never want to leave.
Finally, someone who PURPOSELY makes the polygonal graphics for newer games. To me, these are some of the best because it's simple, bright, and now over-detailed with millions of pixels and textures with horrific lighting or ugly ass models. Less is definitely more when it comes to these kinds of games. I hate how the new Spyro games look because it suffers from the issues I just explained.
Your skyboxes are beautiful. Seriously. Its like a 90s trix yogurt in the sky.
Love the new look and the music!

Oh my goodness, the spyro outfit is too cute. Game is looking great so far!
Wow, this is so genuinely well done it hurts, straight up incredible.

Looks and sounds absolutely fantastic!
The OST is a real bop
This new level looks really awesome
I absolutely love it. The music, the miasma of colours...

Oh hell yeah!! This keeps looking better and better. Killer track by the way.
Awesome overhaul, really loving it!
Wow falling in love with this work everytime again 😍❤
that new track is stellar wtf
If you told me this was a PS1 game I'd believe you... amazing.
I lowkey want the legally vague purple dragon hoodie to be the default costume.
This music is real funky
Needs more length, depth, but it's a hell of a start!!! I'm excited, genuinely! I grew up on Spyro.
Actually, I just realized that there are parts of the stage we didn't get to see. It may actually be decent sized.
The level looks amazing, but I'll really miss the music from Lilypad Castle.

I NEED this music in my life!!

Thou shalt not overwhelm players with bright colours, less they start vomiting rainbows and have their skulls explode.
Good comment
I NEED this song
I love it
1:33 "And now I'll randomly kill myself because for the lol. owo"
If she wern't immortal that would be sad, but instead it's morbidly funny.
awwww yyyyeeeeaaaahhh

Can the game engine simulate the wobbly texture effect from the ps1 ?
There is that one almost impossible to make jump, i hope it will get fixed in the final version
Would you consider porting this to ps4 and release it on steam aswell when it's done? Really want to buy it!
I want that song

I think you must make (later, when game come to Steam) only Patreon (or something) skin DLC :D
Is it just me, or does the music feel out of place?
