Dear lord how does that Brazilian paddle that fast with that... unique style. It's amazing and quite frustrating for someone who is told to have good technique all of the time
He is using good technique. However, he's quite smaller physically than most of the other athletes (175cm tall compared to Brendel's 193cm, for instance) so his stroke is bound to be shorter and look a bit different. He also uses a longer paddle than most.
fcisuperguy, thanks.... but I'm aware of that, and I do respect him as an athlete but actually in weight he is only about 16-18 pounds behind Brendel who is much taller than him, meaning he packs on a ton of muscle. Naturally or unnaturally whatever but this is probably why he can keep this stroke rate.
@@haloguy579 I think you already answered your question yourself. Maybe try to race with someone who is similarly competent with you in terms of timing, but he is 16-18 pounds lighter than you ? Compare the stroke rates and I believe you will see something similar happening here. 16-18 pounds is a lot of difference when it comes to races like this. Brazillian understand and made use of this advantage, to gain his advance. Again nothing wrong with techniques, anyone who made it to the world's stage surely or at least already has his fundamentals sharpened beyond the average human.
Ура Молдова в призах, Торновские Сергей и Олег молодцы хорошо прошли дистанцию поздравляю.Желаю вам успехов в дальнейшем и процветать в спорте.
