He is called 'Monster Vocal' because he has Korean top vocal and monstrous singing ability.
He is a genius who entered Seoul Arts University's Practical Music and Vocal major, which is the most difficult school to enter in the practical music industry.
He was originally an aspiring composer, but he suddenly changed to a vocalist six months before the entrance exam, so he is a genius.
His greatest strengths as a vocalist are his appealing voice, delicate expression, and harmony of vast vocal ranges. He freely handles his own voice, which stands out for its subtle husky beauty, to suit the mood of the song, especially sweet love songs and sad farewell songs. His vocal range is very wide because his vocalization itself is firmly established, and he uses all the skills he uses as a vocalist, such as breathing skills, conversion of his voice and falsetto, and skills such as vibrato and ad-lib.
So he is one of the my favorite male singers

But honestly about his musical background I'm not surprised because you can hear it in the way he sings and uses his vocal abilities.
It's like with Taeyeon; both of them knows their vocals so well and can use their vocal cords in a very relaxing way.
To me the best singers are the ones that knows how to use their strength vocally and tell a story, whether emotionally or powerfully, soft, melodic
