I absolutely love the bigtractorpower videos. I harvest blueberries in down east Maine with 9 harvesters, 2 with double heads. I love big tractor power with a passion. Thank you for providing a great TH-cam channel.
Dank Cummins in Germany it's on Top with bis Harvester like the Legion 770 and 780 on TerraTracs. But they only us headers with 12m up to 13.5m we didn't have that flat landscape.
these are the most awesome vids on the web (in my opinion) lol, I cant stop watching bigtractorpower, I gotta say, id gladly chew my foot off to work on a harvest crew !!!!
Western Kentucky has large scale farming. In our town there are several 1,000 and 2,000 acre fields. Right next to the field this video was filmed in is a 3,000 acre field where we get allot of our Case IH footage.
always find it fascinating that a freshly cut field of corn can be sowed with fresh seed with minimum cultivation. normally in Ireland, one run of a moldboard plough and then a powertiller/seeder combo restarts the cycle
They have to cover allot of ground to cover in a short time. The main tractors on the farm include a Challenger MT875C, three John Deere 9620Rs, four 9420Rs, two 8245Rs, three 7210Rs and a variety of smaller horse power tractors like a 6430, 6330s, 5500s.
Yes we film at this farm though out the season. Check out video archive. We have a video of them shelling corn last fall with all 5 S690s running side by side. It is a neat operation to follow.
Fascinating video!!!! I've been slowly cycling through the bigtractorpower videos and they are all very well done. Now I'm curious what the price difference between the Claas vs the S690 is? I come from a JD partial family and have heard the Claas is a superior machine..........but the cost is much higher than the competitive machines.
Todd S the price is about 400.000 € a new machine with header a bit more so I would think 350.000$ if you want all the stuff and control units like GPS, Laser Pilot, Crop control etc. At a test in Europe the Lexion 780 was the best Combine with less on lose and less fuel usage than other. Or we say for 2 Lexion full equipment you can have near to 3 Case or JD.
This John Deere S690 harvester has a failure in cleaning system, I think they made this combine fast and easy. And I think they don't realize the cleaning system if it is good and excellent. Ahh, it's okey. At least they have a new one. John Deere S700i series combine harvester and in UK and Ireland the W series and T series are new looking features. W And t series is more good clean harvest than S600i. I do not think if S700i clean properly. But when I review it, I found the answer that this S700i combines are good than previous harvester like S600i. Oh no! I need to watch more videos on bigtractorpower!!! To learn more. Support this channel!😉
I am excited to see the new S700s in wheat this year. I filmed an S780 in corn last fall. The farm featured in this video will have S790s for harvest 2018.
This video is cool and all but I would much rather see that farm owned by 10 or 20 different farmers than just one. The big guys are getting to big and there are becoming less and less actual family farms.
David Son , risk versus reward. If the family has farmed for generations and all generations of the family choose to stay in the farming operation, then the operation has to continue to grow to support all the generations involved. You can’t fault people for being willing to stick their necks out and take the risk of increased overhead costs with land, seed, fertilizer, and equipment in order to grow their operation. A thousand acres divided by 10 or 20 results in nothing more than 10-20 hobby farms that are not profitable in this day and age. It’s not 1860 anymore.
They are located all over Todd and Christian county and Mabry a few more. I have heard that they farm over 10,000 acres and I'm 95% sure that that is true.
Those are not MacDon Those are called MacJunk . I worked for CAT Ag for a short time and had to work on those flimsy pieces of junk , watch how bad they bow and flex when raised and driving threw the field . CHEAP JUNK
hey dumb dumb john deere, class, cat, mac don, case ih all of those brands i listed all make flex heads with all of them when you drive across the field they all flex if you buy a non flex head from any of those brands they dont bend at all the style of head they are using are designed to flex and follow the ground with that they also flex in the air
Drew Tibert hey dumb ass I am a John Deere master tech with 20 years of Deere under my belt , I am a field tech and I bet I can tell you more about headers than you could ever dream of .. my main point in my comment was that Macjunk is flimsy crap poor design and way to light built .. Back when I was younger I worked at a cat dealer working on these pieces of crap they are nothing to brag about waisted 16 hour of Macjunk training from the engineering dept that came to the cat dealer to train us but when asked why they are so lightly built and flimsy they said we are working on it .. So I will accept your apology and do the letters FO !! ??? Mean anything to you ??
Ok then what does the numbers on the end of the head mean for example 15p or 35d of 4fd How about on a tractor What does the number 8235r mean. I know this do you
I absolutely love the bigtractorpower videos. I harvest blueberries in down east Maine with 9 harvesters, 2 with double heads. I love big tractor power with a passion. Thank you for providing a great TH-cam channel.
Very cool. I like veggie and fruit harvesting.
It's great how you read the numbers on the combines!
+Diederik van de Dijk thank you for watching.
Nice video, the Lexion looks like a nice machine
Dank Cummins in Germany it's on Top with bis Harvester like the Legion 770 and 780 on TerraTracs. But they only us headers with 12m up to 13.5m we didn't have that flat landscape.
I like your big tractor power video
Thank you for watching.

Thank you for watching. I am glad you enjoy the channel.
One of the best videos you have ever up loaded
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the nice video! Real nice to see all those MacDon headers made in our great Province of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada!!
Thank you for watching. MacDon build impressive machines.
bigtractorpower Yes they sure do!
It sure is a lot money in that field for sure, way to get it done!!!!
Man that's a big field! I always though KY had like 50 aces fields. Nice video

+bigtractorpower dang that's like Montana sized fields!
+Jake Ziegler lots of large river bottom fields in my area of Ky.
Nice video. I heard my home city mentioned in the weather warning. Pretty neat.
David Oden yep so did I
Nnl3331
lovely interesting video, a big thank you.
Love your videos! It's great to hear the sounds of the engines, too, and not some hokey soundtrack. Thank you for your efforts to post these!
AWESOME video folks.
I won't watch this, but the audio is fantastic.
damn nice fleet of JD the lexions color scheme is nice too
Me and my kids love your videos keep it going fella
Thank you for watching. Great to hear.
Love the long videos! And u know what your're talkin about!!...
We have another 20 minute video on the way showing all these combines cutting in the same field.
always find it fascinating that a freshly cut field of corn can be sowed with fresh seed with minimum cultivation. normally in Ireland, one run of a moldboard plough and then a powertiller/seeder combo restarts the cycle
I see more and more farmers cover crop planting, hope that trend continues as it can only be a win win for them and the planet!
I never would have thought that the th would have been on youtube.
Great storm, I love it.
It was a different part of harvest to feature for sure.
Nice rain on planted crop. Hope wheat in not damaged with wind and rain
They wheat made it through fine. They were back to cutting it the next afternoon.
great video!!!
Saludos desde Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico
Wow great!!!
Have they so many tractors???
They have to cover allot of ground to cover in a short time. The main tractors on the farm include a Challenger MT875C, three John Deere 9620Rs, four 9420Rs, two 8245Rs, three 7210Rs and a variety of smaller horse power tractors like a 6430, 6330s, 5500s.
This looks fun
Great videos!!!!!!!
Nice video! Do you plan on coming back in the fall and videoing the corn and bean harvest?
Yes we film at this farm though out the season. Check out video archive. We have a video of them shelling corn last fall with all 5 S690s running side by side. It is a neat operation to follow.
How much Combines can unload in one of these grain carts until it is full?
Nice looks like some nasty weather
It was. It ended up blowing several fields of corn in the area completely flat.

Great.😊
Very Nice :)
where is that at in western ky??? im from western kentucky
chrsmcwtrs Christian county
How often do they replace their machines?
Each year.
+bigtractorpower wow new machines every year. I need to look into how that actually works.
Even these millions of pounds worth of machinery can't cope with a bit of rain!
+Ronnie G it was a heavy rain. It put down a few inches and high winds blew corn flat on the ground that day.
Yes I expect it was bad, I'm not criticising your fantastic machines, only pointing out the power of nature.
Where do you find a 1000 acre field?
Outside!
Hi bro how expensive these machines
s690 John Deere with DonMac Head $550,000. New
I'm on a farm with close to 8,000 to 12,000 acres.
Kpoole35™ 4,000 acres of potential spread... Don't know it or is it fluctuating?
where ???
What state?
Kentucky I believe
Nice video, is the Lexion a demo machine?
Yes it is a demo unit from CLAAS.
How much more capacity did the CLAAS have?
+bubba wubba I am not sure.
How many acers has this farm ?
10000
Feeling bad for the guy who got soaked to roll the tarp on the grain cart.
Why Mac Don headers?
They do a great job in wheat and soybeans. When this was filmed they were the only 45ft grain header on the market.
bigtractorpower thank you BTP I had no idea
Thanks for watching.
This video is cool and all but I would much rather see that farm owned by 10 or 20 different farmers than just one. The big guys are getting to big and there are becoming less and less actual family farms.
your right. Here in TX we have corporate dairies taking over. Chinese investors.

why are you seeding when you didn't plow the field
theyre notilling
MarkZUCCedabird its called no till its a better yielding then plowing or cultivating cause then if u cult ur ripping up the clay and sand in the soil
It’s called notill
them days are gone plow field,
bet they cover ground quick
We where plowing in the rain last Friday
What tractor and plow were you running?
We ran a john deere soil finisher and a john deere 9360r
This is Garnett Farms in western ky I know them.
Van the man where is this farm located at in western ky?
They are located all over Todd and Christian county and Mabry a few more. I have heard that they farm over 10,000 acres and I'm 95% sure that that is true.
I have seen them in harvest and their road train goes by my house in harvest season.
Why was everybody just sitting there waiting for puddles of water where they could get stuck in?
It take a lot of $ 3 corn to pay for all that equipment !
+Dan Halverson this operation covers allot of ground and owns most of its ground so they are able to operate very well.
They do look better
it was raining real good
It's to bad someone can't come up with an idea for the use of all that straw. Bale it to burn for electricity. something
Hookers and Heroine not cooperate games out east here most bits farms out here big square bale cause u can get about 4 bales in a space vs2 bales
Those are not MacDon Those are called MacJunk . I worked for CAT Ag for a short time and had to work on those flimsy pieces of junk , watch how bad they bow and flex when raised and driving threw the field . CHEAP JUNK

Are serious man what are you 6 years old ?? My toy car is better than your toy car ??? Man grow up ..
No I'm just calling Bull on you being a John Deere mechanic
Do they like cat combine
Lexion does a great job cutting and cleaning. It really shines against the S690 in chopping up straw.
Deer combines aren't what they used to be
I got a girlfriend
