Mr. A-Z! Super fan here. Over the years I have seen you in Freiburg, Germany, Park City and SLC, UT, and Las Vegas to name a few. I've had the opportunity to meet Toca, Mona, Carlos, your dad, and even got a chance to hang out with you at the Bing Bar in Sundance after your show in 2012. Your music and messages (and your super band of musicians) have resonated with me since I first heard this album back in 08. In our conversation in Park City, the last thing you said to me was "good luck in your music career." At first I wanted to do what you do, but I am now a 34 year old father of two and a high school band director. Thanks for the inspiration over the years. Hope for your continued success.

I cried through most of this…absolutely amazing, so wonderful to hear one of my very favorite albums again (your big band era has always been my favorite). You have been my favorite musician since I first heard “Waiting For my Rocket to Come“ when I was 14 years old, and your music has quite literally been the soundtrack to my life. Getting me through dark bouts of depression after my mother died, dancing to “A Beautiful Mess“ at my wedding, listening to your music exclusively through 14 hours of my labor with my son…it is literally impossible to express how much you and your work has meant to me, and I cannot thank you enough for the magic you’ve given all of us over the years.
Side note-I have been a huge fan of DWTS for many years, but stopped watching when Tom Bergeron/Erin Andrews left and the show went downhill. I always said that the ONLY thing that would get me to start watching again would be if you were to come on the show-and here we are!!! I screamed out loud when I saw the announcement, lol, cannot wait for Monday-you’re gonna kill it! 🌟

This was the theme song to my med school. No matter how difficult it got, being able to play the album on repeat when i got home kept me marching on. Watching this was so nostalgic, and at the same time very refreshing. Thank you Jason and the rest of you guys. Wouldn't have made it through the most difficult phase in my life without y'all with me.
You know what stuns me about this the most? That woman on the percussions, he met her at a concert that he did at a college. She was a college student there and he took her on tour as I recall in one of her interviews. It's been 15 years now and I believe pretty much ALL the original musicians are still with him?! I mean, I work in the industry and I've only seen her with Mraz or for percussion brands, and usually, people at this level do a heavy rotation of artists. I hadn't seen anyone else in other context either, which again, for a *solo artist* at this level, is literally unheard of. I would def recognize at least one of those A-lister touring players who jump from one artist to another to make a consistent living.... but no. Except the percussionist - who obviously was very young - they all seem the same age, too. This must mean Jason is the absolute best employer in the industry.
His vibes are i m m a c u l a t e Edit : I know all those musicians did plenty of other projects I'm sure. It's very rare however that I don't notice a few known player in a world touring from another act!

The best years of my life when this album came out, I was traveling, working, scuba diving and completing my divemaster certification. "I'm Yours" was my travel song and inspired me to keep moving on even when I was broke or felt like a failure or useless haha. Those were the days and I made it. You can listen to "Lucky" and "I'm yours" , almost everywhere in cafes, live band, bars, reggae bars, tour boats, ferries, in Bali, Lombok, Bunaken, Raja Ampat, Thailand - Koh Ngai, Koh Samui, Koh Kradan, Philippines - Boracay, Malaspacua, Palawan, Cambodia, Hanoi etc
This is the album of my teenage. I grew up, but this album is in my heart, always. It's part of my life. I'm so glad to be in one of Jason video (love is still the answer) too. I love Y'all. And come to Brazil!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

I’m yours, one of first songs I learned on guitar. Such a beautiful vibe, going to Marty Schwartz, Your Guitar Sags and Justing Guitar to learn the reggae rhythm and what now. Fast forward a decade, I learned singing and pretty much play most by ear and got my trinity grades too. This is what a good music can do!! ❤

I think I might know what Jason means when he says "I was trying to impress someone" with "I'm yours".
In 2005 Jason and Toca were on tour, doing an opening show for Alanis' 10 year anniversary of Jagged Little Pill.
I was at the last concert of their tour, Costa Mesa Performing Arts Centre.
Jason had hurt his hand, and his right wrist had a cast, but he still played an amazing set infront of the curtain.
Then Alanis came, the curtain lifted and it was a magical concert.
When they played all the songs from Jagged Little Pill, Jason was getting ready to come back on stage with a huge bouquet of flowers for Alanis, they looked at each other, Jason wanted to say something, Alanis just shook her head, her lips made a sign of a silent No...
I think the song "I'm yours" might have something to do with Alanis Morissette. ❤🎉
Either way, just wanted to tell this story. I still remember this Jason Mraz concert as one of the top 3 most amazing concerts I have ever seen.
Thank you for including Details in the Fabric in this. 💔 This album, and that song, was a salve to all of the trauma I had to go through as a tween and teen. So amazing to hear this 15 years later to see how much we’ve all grown, changed, loved, cried, and endured.

You cannot understand how i feel about this album. It is like you wrote my story. I loved my best friend (Lucky hey?)and lived through his death, I travelled through New Zealand with my grandchildren, (who are Jason Mraz fans now) restored a house in France (during covid) and this album helped me through it all. It is still my go to album when I need a pick me up day.
