Siya seems like that guy in the community you talk to when your life is in shambles and he encourages you to stay strong. Then you thank him 10 ten years after graduating and stuff.
Woow the way Anele conducted the interview, she really believed in Siya that he will one day be the Captain and he will bring home the World Cup trophy....and 2-years later it happened
And he took us to a World Cup final and won against NZ!!! Spoke into existence

OMG, I am so happy that I watched this. As an England rugby fan living in Thailand I have overdosed on social media over the RWC. Started to understand the Springboks after watching Elma's daily podcasts and her chat with Alex Payne (House of Rugby), where she went into a bit of detail about the team and Syia. By the end of the show (it was the night before the final) I was sort of wishing SA on, then when we lost, I was not hugely disappointed, really felt it had gone to a better team and a better man. What a fabulous couple, so sincere with such warmth for humanity! We'll see you on the field for the Lions, and I better start saving now.

I live in UK with a minority of blacks, but the way the white ladies are going for black men, believe me, black guys are on demand, it's a first come first serve. So I'm surprised with racism in SA of which SA is a multi racial country, and they should live by example to the whole world that love has no colour.🥰

But I have to say this. Almost in all interacial couples ive seen, the black person is always very well established. If it was about love, why are there not interracial couples where the black person is not economically stable? Black men or women who marry outside their race are almost always oblivious to the black struggle and their real positin in the world power system. A black man who is fully conscientised will understand that marriage, whether you like it or not, is an economic and political decision. Its a deep seated desire to forget your blackness. I can understand being in a sporrt dominated by white Afrikaners, he had to deal with the racism for a long time and that messed with his self acceptance and his blackness. At the end of the day, a white man or woman will NEVER understand your struggle as a black person living in a white supremist world, no matter how hard they try. The destruction of a nation begins in the family unit. Black men, committ yourselves to black women!!!! #BlackLove🖤
While statistically you maybe correct about "the black person is always very well established" in general terms, you will find that in this particular scenario she was there (their words not mine) when he came back from the mountain/bush. I come from the culture and can tell you for a fact that there is very little chance that by then he was "very well established" as the general statement suggests. Further to this, his background (well documented) "Black men or women who marry outside their race are almost always oblivious to the black struggle and their real position in the world power system" already debunks that general statement of oblivion to the struggle. The man grew up in poverty and therefore cannot oblivious to that reality. You can claim he is trying to forget that he is black, which would be another argument altogether and definitely for another day. I agree fully with that "a white man or woman will NEVER understand (experience) your struggle as a black person living in a white supremacist world, no matter how hard they try" because as a man I will NEVER understand (experience) the pain of giving birth because I will NEVER give birth. Lack of empathy (not pity) for the woman's pain or lack of empathy (not pity) for the black man's struggles and pain is what I will always have a problem with and empathy is NOT beyond human capacity. It is generally a lack of willingness that is the issue and NOT the capacity thereof. I have also maintained before I got married (many years ago) that I was never going to be somebody's "breakthrough". If I meet you (whoever you are) and you have nothing, I also need to be at that stage where I also have nothing and am in the process of building myself up, and we can then build up together. That is exactly what I got from my wife.

He is oblivious to the black struggle to the extent that he does not understand the implications of marrying a white woman given the socio economic conditions of black people. Thats what I mean. You can grow up in poverty your whole life, but if that does not conscientise you enough to marry your own, that is still oblivion. May be a lack of understanding, but is oblivion nonthesless. Also, we dont need empathy from white people. They have proven over and over again that they don't care about us, because they fear us. What we need is to have empathy for *ourselves* not from them and that means protecting the black family unit amongst many other things
Also, even if she was there when he came from the mountain, thats beside the point. Im co cerned about the economics and the psychological implications on the black person in an interracial marriage.
