Salaamua’laikum sister. I was very intrigued about this topic as I have also been a critical of Hadith in the past and your series reinforced what my thoughts were. My only criticism of your videos is that you don’t say Salaam at the beginning or end of your videos.
Pretty sure Abu Hanifah relied on Hadith. His students collected the Hadith upon which his fiqh is based. Isn’t it a bit out there to concede that Hadith were considered authoritative by the sahaba but the very next generation-their students- discarded and ignored them and focused solely on Quran as a source of legislation? You yourself stated that the only reason Abu Huraira’s son in law married his daughter was so he could learn Hadith from him. He’s going to commit to marrying someone for one reason then completely ignore and avoid preserving that reason? Also the muwatta contained Hadith.
To begin with, what I meant was that Abou Hanifa (and everyone until Safai) did not write down a coherent collection of ahadith. A very common mistake many Muslims do today, is to consider Muwatta as a hadith collection. Muwatta is a legal work, that here and there contains ahadith. The second point is this: Up to Safai, the laws would take into consideration some ahadith. From Safai onwards, and by the mid-2nd AH, ahadith became the primary source of legislation. I hope the difference is clear.
Thank you for your question. I tend to dedicate my time and scholarly labour into topics that have a direct impact on Muslims' daily life. Questions about the hoor are, in my opinion, abstract and philosophical. The only answer I can give to your question is "Allahu Allam" (Allah is the most knowledgable). Death is inevitable, so....sooner or later we will know everything about hoor al-ayns.
Mashallah! Very insightful video! 🤩🤓📚
Thank you!
MASHA'ALLAH, ALLAH BLESS YOU
May Allah bless us all

Thank you for your response. As for my salams, may this be the worst of my shortcomings!

I would like to hear what you believe about hoor al ayns! Are men guaranteed more women, while women are only to be with one man?
