Cool video. I lived in Porter Ranch at the time and watched many of the scenes being filmed. The scene where they are jumping down the hills on their bikes was Beaufait Ave just off Reseda Blvd in Porter Ranch. That area was all new construction at the time. I remember the stunt bike rider was Bob Haro. Btw, that Caterpillar at the park was pretty challenging to climb as a kid. Fun to relive those moments.

What a coincidence, I just finished watching E.T. It’ll always be one of my favorite movies since I was a kid in the 80s. It’s always nice seeing what locations of movies look like years later. Thanks for sharing. :)
I read that the woods were in Northern California, that’s why Spielberg filmed the house in a different neighbourhood. To make it look like the forest could’ve been in the backyard.
