He met the filth there, he left the filth there!
obi was no magician as his supporters are making him to be !
This is the proof right here!
If whatever he did in Anambra can be upturned in 9 years, then it means he was a failure!

The only lasting solution for waste management in Anambra is by Building a Big waste Recycling plant where waste will be incinerated to generate electricity that will be sold back to the people and generate money for the state.

Your idea is fantastic bro but 80-90% of residents in Anambra state are backward in thinking despite their wealth, I'm from Nnewi north local government area of the state, I know what I'm talking about, for now Anambra state has no solution in this area and many other areas, the state is poorly structured, most of state government roads are like apian way, houses are too close to major roads, if you think Anambra will be like Enugu or Lagos in the next 50 years in terms of road structures and bridges, you're wasting your time.

The governor should increase the cost of bottle or sachet water, in that when you return it to the vendor you will get 50% refund. then with time it will be extended to plastic bags or inorganic wastes. This is how its done in some parts of Europe to control waste. eg if you drink bottle water N150 and knows that when you return the bottle u will get N75 back wont you return the bottle? if you don't, their will be someone waiting and willing to return the bottle by so doing household waste will reduce and our state will be clean.

God when obi governed this state he built refuse dumping sights with tanks it can be thrown in and closed. And effectively removed at night with those big trucks we see abroad, they clear refuse in markets daily with these brand new refuse trucks, I went to awka last week, all the street lights obi put and saying light of the nation is the motto of the state so should be lighted up, that he put street lights in all road leading to every community in anambra not just capital but now so many have fallen, under serviced and doesn't even on anymore. The dustbin in awka has left refuse dumping to the street light cross overs dumped all along the street. The governor needs help. It would be good for the governor to privatise the waste management sector to private companies who can manage the waste. Sort the waste out . Sell recyclable waste and burn off the rest. Manage also sewage. Sewage management is a big project. For it goes hand in hand with pipe borne water. Piping clean water to homes will permit these companies also to place waste pipes that can pipe toilet and kitchen waste water to a recycling centre. If this isdone ,the city will be clean and jobs will be created

Part of the problem in Nigerian towns and cities is the absence of local governance and budgetary allocations. A government in Awka cannot be managing waste disposal in Onitsha, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia. According to world bank, Onitsha is the 3rd most populous city with over 8 million people. Lagos is number one and Cairo in Egypt number two. Onitsha should have at least two mayors. They should have their own independent government run with taxes with financial support from the state government in the way of grants. When it comes to waste management, the state can focus on building waste dump sites and waste processing center, but the collection and disposal to these dump and processing sites should be handled by local authorities. ASWAMA is too small and incapable resource wise to handle waste disposal in a massive city such as Onitsha or even Nnewi, which was ranked by World Bank as among the top ten fastest growing cities in the world. The Anambra state government must dedicate even more financial ad well as other resources to the environment. Moreover, Soludo must strengthen his project and service delivery monitoring capabilities. This is why the local governance must be strengthened. We must also try to learn from other states that are doing better. Enugu is much smaller than Onitsha in population, but can still serve as a model because it is among the cleanest cities in Nigeria. This is because the institutions are older - Enugu inherited these governance agencies from when it was capital of the Eastern Region. Finally, the contractors mandated to dispose waste in segments of the city should be published. The terms of their contracts should be also publicized in such a way that citizens can hold someone accountable for the failures. We would like to know who is defaulting, the contractors or Anambra state government.

There is an urgent need for CCTV cameras in and around strategic places in the State. This a clear case of malicious attacks perpetrated by mischief makers from outside of the State. It is practically impossible to get such a humongous refuse pileup within a short time of clearing the old ones. The governor needs to sit up and take decisive action against the menace.

Really. Malicious attacks from outside the state???? If this is a possible reason, then we are finished with our thinking..
Quantity of refuse generated is an indication of economic activities and anyone that is surprised by such amount of refuse is not real.
Refusal disposal is not rocket science..

Where and who is maliciously attacking. This is a language of failure. The government is failing. He is quick to attack Peter Obi instead of focusing on promises he made to ndi Anambra.

Refuse disposal is a business so the people who produce it must pay for it to be properly disposed/managed. The govt should bring the private sector here to handle the refuse of the inhabitants and get paid for it, govt can't keep up with it as she doesn't have the infrastructure to handle it&funds to fund it. Nigerians must get their minds off free things, the country won't develop.

The governor of Anambra state is campaigning for Atiku he has forgotten about the sanity of his State, all he remembers is attacking Peter Obi, thinking he will cause people to hate Obi, unknown to him he is promoting Obi's campaign, Nigerians, vote wisely, vote Peter Obi for better Nigeria, God help Nigeria

Governor is saving money to run for president come 2027 or 2031 as atiku has promised him. He' s pumping Anambra money to atiku to help him win, with hope that atiku who has not yet won, will make him president If he wins, after his tenor has expired.
He is fighting every thing possible to make sure that Peter Obi doesn't win because his chance of becoming president after Obi is slim.
One thing Igbo politicians are yet to understand is that they are hated in Nigeria politics.
Anambra stake holders should wake up to the realities on ground because in my dream I saw the child(Anambra) that was fat in the hands of Peter Obi become so lean in the hands of Soludo.

You are and have been doing a great job with your postings. The biggest problem is the level of indiscipline and a lack of caring by the people. There is a limit to what any government can do. I think the government have to invest more in the needed infrastructure to alleviate these problems.

The trouble with Nigeria is simply and squarely a failure of leadership. There is nothing basically wrong with the Nigerian land or climate or water or air or anything else. The Nigerian problem is the unwillingness or inability of its leaders to rise to the responsibility, to the challenge of personal example which are the hallmarks of true leadership.
    Chinua Achebe
The Governor has lost focus about how to solve the economic and political mess facing his state. He is busy fighting Mr Peter Obi and endorsing Atiku. Nonsense Governor who has huge issues to track but he is busy ranting and ranting.
This totally unacceptable that this is happening in one of the most popular states in Nigeria What about the health affairs of his state. He wants to be Governor but since he has power and authority today what he doing. Waste management is so poor 😞

In anambra I know that every building is paying for this refuse collection every month, soludo is lazy idiot he is only after Peter obi.
