The petting zoo thing was almost literal, as Loki in the mythology abuses his shapeshifting powers and ends up being the MOTHER of several famous monsters.
Less abused and forced to transform to get the aesir out of trouble because Loki’s a god damn scape goat most of the time Honestly you wonder why he even bothers having kids anymore live they keep getting banished fenreir was chained at the bottom of Yggdrasil, jourminjander was thrown into the ocean and hell was cast into the underworld merely for existing
This is why Olaf takes the W for me. Loki had 3 children who weren't animals. Though the nail in the coffin line was the horse riding line. Loki sleeping with a horse to force a bet to lose, priceless.
@@teunsuiker5819 he also has 2 more sons along the way one of whom was disemboweled to make lokis chains Also in the proes Ed’s he hearts an evil heart that turns him into the mother of all monsters and it’s literally never elaborated on again
His “I’ve taken advantage of another spoiled orphan” line is in reference to how he treated the Baudelaire orphans in the show; “rich brats like you are probably spoiled rotten & have never done a chore in your life” is a line Olaf says because he believed that the rich don’t do crap & live a life of luxury (which is funny considering his wanting the Baudelaire fortune for himself; ironic, isn’t it?). And given his age, roughly around 45-60 years old, he’s probably had to live a life where “work builds character” or “there’s discipline in doing work/chores.” The funny thing is, Olaf calling himself a “count” is strange considering his life in poverty. In the show, he doesn’t like being called “Mister” because it disrespects his title. Yet his living in poverty, his greediness & his inability to keep his focus off the Baudelaire fortune, disproves that he’s even worthy of being called by a royal name. Y’wanna know what’s even more ironic? The fact that he calls himself a “count,” yet all he desires is roast beef instead of pasta puttanesca (which is a much fancier food option, had Olaf not been a total jerk).
The funny thing is that Olaf hit Loki with a "Get Help" bar. There was a scene in a movie where Loki had to act like he's hurt to distract some guards while Thor knocked him out.
Technically, Shwabadi and The Stupendium were actors, just not the body actors, simply just the VOICE actors. You’re right that the body actors are different (OTBReacts for Loki and Skitzy for Count Olaf).
Yea that zoo n horse line. To distract a stallion, so that the gods could cheap out in a builders payment, Loki turned into a mare.... And well he gave birth to Sleipnir, an 8 legged horse. Which Odin uses as a mount, his kind of grandson is his mount. So remind me not to go horse riding with you .... Yea
Quite Late but I think I know what most of the lines mean 1. 'Long ago you lusted over the stage' Olaf was a failed actor 2. 'Violets signature your left not dominant' Olaf tried to marry violet to get the right to access her fortune but she signed with her left hand making the contract invalid 3.'i wanted roast beef dammit' Olaf makes the boudelairs make him food but doesn't tell them what to make so they make pasta and then he says that line 'i wanted roast beef dammit 4.'When fighting fire with an arsonist' Olaf is a serial arsonist that burns down places that inconvenience him such as the boudelairs home 5.'Kit Snicket' was a woman who Olaf fell in love with and she was killed by a deadly mushroom just after they reunited 6.Neil Patrick Harris was the person who played Olaf in the show and Loki likes to make people kneel before him 7.The man who walks out and says Olaf might not know when to stop is lemony snicket who narrates the show and books and often describes metaphors like 'Being burned' 8.Olaf dresses up as a sailor and a snake biologist to trick the boudelairs guardians and that's why they join in the rap 9. The V.F.D is the Volunteer fire department a secret organisation in a series of unfortunate events who often put out Olaf's fires and Asgard was burned so Olaf was saying that even they couldn't save asgaud
About the deadly mushroom as well, the name for the fungus is the Medusoid Mycelium; there is no cure for the poison, but horseradish IS a substitute to combat the poison & still lend a cure. The poison was hidden deep beneath the ocean where the Annwhistle lighthouse SHOULD HAVE been, but Count Olaf forced the orphans to search inside the lighthouse to find the Medusoid Mycelium. As a result, Sunny got sick & almost died.
Also, in Norse mythology, lokis children are jormungandr (the world serpent), Sleipnir (an 8 legged horse) and Hel (goddess of Hel) so the reference to a petting zoo and horse riding references that Loki shapeshifted into a mare to get impregnated by a horse to birth Sleipnir. And the fact that jormungandr being a serpent
"thirsting over your foster daughter" that a reference to the first when olaf tried to secretly marry violet in the first book in series of unfortunate events
I only saw the Jim Carrey movie with Count Olaf but 'thirsting over my foster daughter' (unless the original series had some differences) he adopted the kids in the movie but at the same time he was planning to marry the eldest daughter to get the fortune. No actual thirsting happens that I know of.
Daniel Handler is the author of the Series of Unfortunate Events book series. Lemony Snicket is more like an in-universe author or narrator of the Baudelaire's lives as the stories are told. You could say that Lemony Snicket is Daniel Handler's pseudonym. Freshy Kanal himself references the character of Lemony Snicket in the battle itself when he jumps in to play the character and narrate part of the battle. Neil Patrick Harris played Count Olaf in the Netflix show adaptation of the books. In the film, he was played by Jim Carrey. I think Olaf murdered Loki with his second verse when referencing how Loki gets killed by Thanos and then followed that by the other harsh lines to end it.
It's been a while, but in Olaf's case it really wasn't lust for the oldest Baudelaire daughter as much as marrying her, and getting access to her wealth. It is a staple in older works (like the Victorian age) that often men would want to marry a woman who was the sole heir to an estate...and upon marrying they took control. This actually has parallels in the real world where in England and the US many women became 'spinsters' (by the convention of society of the day) to retain control of their wealth. As for the Patrick Harris line...I think it was also referring to the fact Neil Patrick Harris is gay, so kneeling might imply a blowjob. To be honest, this was one line I thought was really weak.
"My author could better Handler the task of writing Adored ideas than the broad psyche Of Norse Vikings who thought, 'Right! What if a court jester had horns that were all spiky?'" Olaf compares Daniel Handler(Lemony Snicket IRL) to the Vikings in terms of storytelling, saying that Handler had a better "handle" of it in comparison to the Vikings' broad psyche of Norse myths involving Loki, citing Loki's spiky horned helmet and "court jester" ensemble as examples.
Not always. You’re not taking into account the non live-action battles and exceptions to your statement can be seen in the following live action battles: -Bob Ross vs. Bob the Builder -Doctor Strange vs. Doctor Who -Squid Game vs. MrBeast -Robin Hood vs. Guy Fawkes
The raps were cool although some Olaf references might go over my head. All i know of Count Olaf was with Jim Carrey. Was mostly disappointed The Stupendium didnt actually make an appearance. Then only after that did i realise he was singing
Spoiler warning for A Series of Unfortunate Events -The VFD was given many meanings throughout the series, but the true VFD turned out to be the Volunteer Fire Department. Of course, they weren’t there to save Asgard. -Count Olaf’s father was killed with a poison dart to the neck. -Olaf used many disguises to get closer to the Baudelaires. The first two were a herpetologist and a sailboat captain. -Olaf had two major love interests. Kit Snicket was Lemony’s sister, and died from a poisonous fungus. Esme Squalor only ever cared about what is in or out of fashion. -“So many flaws like a hotel” was likely a reference to the Hotel Denoument, the last building Count Olaf burned down. -Olaf believes that the only proper dinner for a theater troupe is roast beef. -The plot to marry Violet Baudelaire was foiled when Violet (right-handed) signed the paperwork with her left hand. -Mr. Poe is an incompetent banker assigned with choosing a home for the Baudelaires.
Not just incompetent, but also oblivious & outright apathetic in the show when compared to the books. Mr. Poe shows his incompetence well & it irritated the Hell outta me when I first watched the show.

I also took the Neil line as a reference to the first Avenger's movie, when Loki is in Germany and demands the civilians kneel. Working as a double
Loki has people kneel before him. It ain't that deep.

I think the haircut you were talking about is called mutton chops
On this episode from Freshy Kanal comes the battle between the two different mischievous men
The sideburns are called "Mutton chops".
Not only depicting them as animals, that was a bar because Loki fucked a lot of literal animals and titans to creat monsters and to birth them too
And the Staff Line is also meant ad Lokis Pp, could Olaf got his staff in control and not make love with Animals, foreshadow the Petting Zoo line
In the original North mythology, If it has pulse and a hole, Loki will screw it. Man, women, Cat, Dog or horse. It Doesn't matter. :D
