    Oh man, had a melee terminator with a scyther on the final mission of my first run. That boy took out half the gate guards in a single round. It was truly something

    i think the neural torso is a great alternative for soldiers with the bombardier perk that are not heavies or technichans. They usually have to equip a jet pack armor to use mounted weapons but don't have proficiency in the jetpack. With this torso you can use mounted weapons and get a more useful ability than a jetpack that can fail. Also with the new buildable shield you can also give a neural torso a shield like the juggernaut torso. I think of the neural torso like an alternate version of the juggernaut torso. Instead of demolition state you have heavy lifter and a different shield.

      Thanks man. I figured shorter was better. I usually skip over people's intros if they're long, too, so I wanted to keep mine at about five seconds. I think it's actually a bit under that.

    36:25 - the Agile legs are the BEST choice for melee-terminator because of it +4 speed bonus. You gain "+1 tile" of movement for every 4 speed. So, if soldier has 20 speed, he can run 5 tiles for 1 AP (without Frenzy status). If this soldier has 21, 22 or 23 speed, he can run...suddenly, 5 tiles. BUT!!! if he has 24 speed, he runs for 6 tiles.
    So the best setup for terminator is bionic Vengeance torso and Agile legs mutation to gain 24 speed and 6 tiles-movement for 1 AP (or 12 tiles with Dash ability). 23 speed is useless.
    And what about low armor on agile legs - the Terminator doesn't need lots of armor. His purpose to GIVE damage, not TAKE )))
    Yeah, bionic torso+mutated legs look awful, but very effective.
    And one more. About talents. Close quarters specialist (for 20% of damage), and reckless (for additional 10% of damage) are necessary. Quarterback is good, but not mandatory (only to save some skillpoints from investing to Speed).
    With close quarters specialist and reckless the Terminator has the highest melee damage (288 with Marduc's Fist and 300+ with Mattock). He kill the Chiron with 2 punches 😂

    i just got some augments in my current game, and my soldiers are able to heal up as normal in the base.
    i think the cost to repair at the end of the mission, is a way you can instantly heal up instead of seeking treatment.

      @jamesharder3753 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just want to add to this, that i dident realize what you meant, incase others mistoke the same as me, as i cant edit comments lol.
      so the hp repairs as normal like a fleshy part, its the disabled status effect that seems to need to be paid for.
      I havent got a tech with the level yet, but im curious if his restore limbs ability can save you these mats?

    • @MrVeps1
      @MrVeps1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think tech arms might be cheaper, but they also take "ammo" you have to pay for. You can completely heal up five soldiers for free if you bring an aspida on an easy mission, though. Always have the aspida heal before extracting, if you can

  • @byronjbanks

    My ONLY critique on your terminator build is that you didn't recommend inspire (terminators go mid to last in a turn and armor breaks, quick aims,inspire frenzy, dashes, etc you used will get comped), warcry (if you realize you won't have the dps to finish off a guardian or Scylla) , and onslaught (if you're doing a team terminator and bunny hop your troops around).

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, I'm certain there's room for improvement. I don't actually use terminators too much. I had one in my first season playthrough but she didn't see a ton of action because I didn't want all of my videos to just be terminator slaughters. These are all good ideas. Thanks for sharing!

    at the end when you were comparing the muttate vs the augment, a few you had said meh, quite similar your choice, otehr than than the obvious mutagen being much easier to afford.
    one thing i would assume is a major factor in the case for the augments on this is the fact that you had previously said, the augments can still have a auxillary mounted tech.

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bionics are more expensive, but generally slightly better than mutations (not in all cases but most), so it's really a matter of how good do you want it and what are you willing to pay? Maybe sometimes it makes more sense to go with the mutation. Depends a lot on what you want to accomplish and how your economy is doing in respect to resources vs. mutagens. That's a decision you need to make, I can't say one way is better than another in a video because I have no idea what each person's playstyle is or what their economy looks like :)

    Propeller legs are not comparable to dash, I mean they are, but that's not the point. It allows non-heavies to get to roof tops easily, think snipers or infril-assault with pseudo jump jet ability. You'll want the thief perk to negate the stealth penalty for infiltrators, though. Especially if you also have the bombardier perk and neural torso. Also massive gain of +50% dmg stealth perk and +10% from bombardier on a base 80x3 1ap weapon that can't miss (Destiny III).

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The purpose of propeller legs is to increase your soldier's mobility, whether that's vertically or horizontally. You are correct in that it allows soldiers to jump to rooftops, and that is a very useful thing for snipers and heavies, but it is still also a mostly-superior alternative to the Dash ability. If you have a soldier with high speed and speed boosts from armor, dash will get them a little farther, but jumping with the propeller legs is cheaper from a WP cost and it's not limited to twice per turn, and it doesn't require the soldier to be cross-classed Assault.

  • @B.D.B.
    @B.D.B. ปีที่แล้ว

    You haven't tried Tech-Assault?! They're the best combo ever. You can throw down 4 turrets in 1 turn. Better yet, usually, throw down 2 and use remote ability to use 1 of them on the same turn. Regardless the Neural Torso is the best in the game for any character that has the bombardier perk, all the benefits of heavy armor without the downsides (jump jet lite for 1 AP if you use propeller legs). The only other torso aug. worth mentioning is the melee one.

    Hey Jeric! Not directly related to augments, but is there an easy way to tell what a current aircrafts mission is? I have been finding that with 4+ aircraft, sometimes I will save and quit, and when I come back I have no idea where everyone is going and why. Is there some way to highlight an aircraft and have it tell you where it is going or what it's current instructions are?

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, so if you select the aircraft it should show you where it's going, if it's moving. Also, you can rename them, so you might try that to keep track of what you were planning for them.

    Reading the books, I really prefer to use these as opposed to mutations.
    I prefer the nuclear option against the final boss- but find the virophage as a second best option.
    Anyone else annoyed at the games population always being more Anu to the extent they always win any war- even if the two other factions gang up on them?
    I kinda wish they did a thing to increase food production and population size as a setting, imagine if the game started up with a hundred million?

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don't have melee weapon proficiency, there's a 50% chance that you will fumble your melee attack, which takes the action points but you don't actually get to swing. That also applies to using the Jet Jump ability on heavy armor like the Golem-B torso if you're not proficient with jet packs. It does not apply to ranged weapons.

    cant find out why this is such a huge thing.
    i have 2 augment parts, only my head is not converted cause it only lets you have the 2.
    So, i am still able to get poisoned. the legs and torso say immune to poison.
    but a pandorian poison spitter hit me 2x with his venom, and my solder got 70-10 =60 from the previous turn, +70 more, so on the 3rd turn, i took another 130 damage, so in 2 turns i took 200 poison damage, plus any direct the poison did.
    how is this even beneficial to have immunity to poison or virus when it stacks up globally.
    same goes for the med kits, im able to heal 120 hp even tho the only bleedable part (head) is not even hurt.

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm not sure exactly what's going on with your soldier. One thing to note, it's poison resistance, not immunity, so you do still take half even if your bionics get hit. And I think that only applies if the poison hits one of your augmented parts - i.e. if you get hit in the (non-augmented) head with poison, you still take the full poison effect. You can kind of see this if you do a Show Information on your soldier while on the battlefield - You'll see that your resistances aren't listed on the right-hand column under your abilities, but rather your augmented parts on the left side (arms, legs, etc.) have the Bionic Augmentation icon next to them.
      As for the hit points, yes, you can heal your hit points back to full, but that doesn't repair damage to your augmented body parts. So if your arm is disabled, for instance, you can still get your soldier back up to full HP, but the arm itself won't be reenabled until it's repaired. This works the same way as non-augmented disabled body parts except the cybernetics don't automatically get reenabled after the fight is over - you have to pay to have them repaired or use some other mechanism to repair the damage. If you go into your next mission without doing the repairs, that arm will still be disabled, even though the soldier is at full health.

      @@JericsGamescape so the repair part only fixes the orange or red state of teh gear?
      it does not factor inot the armor or hp or any otehr score at all?
      so then going bionic beserker with a multi class can make it so red limbs are still useable makes repairing pointless?

      @jamesharder3753 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JericsGamescape the thing that makes the poison so bad in my books, is the start of turn dot.

    • @TheCCPlayer
      @TheCCPlayer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jamesharder3753 I know I’m late here, but to clear up some confusion for you.
      If an augmented part is hit with a poison attack, you’ll only take a part of the DoT effect of the poison. Let’s say their poison hits for 40 DoT, and they hit your body. You’ll instead receive it for 20 DoT. If they hit your unaugmented part you’ll get the full DoT. Damage from the poison DoTs is not reduced when taking it, you’re still part human after all.
      If a limb is repaired, yes, it fixes the disabled state of them, so Berserkers don’t care if their augmented body parts are disabled. Repairing also brings back the armor of the part, along with its health, so not repairing augmented limbs means you’re running around with less armor and health.
