Really nice to know that things are going so great for Doug Seegers these Days. I somewhat feel that I have helped a bit promoting him in social media ever since he appeared in Jill Johnsons TV-program Jill's Veranda last spring. His career is like a real saga, but the success is well diserved!
Hei DougI såw you on TV in Jills Veranda, and you made me breathless. Since then I call you Mr Nashwille, countrysinger. You are the very best I ever Heard. I am myself an elderly woman 67 years old. I started play the guitarr when I was about 59 years old and sing to. I also have an late start in Life. I have a poor childhood and hard Life until now. Thats why I couldn´t sing or be happy ever earlier in Life. Now I even started komposing my own coutnry-songs. Nothing to compare with Dough though. But he can have my songs to if he wants to, but for a cost of course. I am still poor, so I can´t give away them for free. He will find me in the Swedish phonebook in Gothenburg. My name is Ann-Louise Börjesson, Batterigatan 5 D, Göteborg. Sorry, this would be a salute for Dough, and now it ands with a sales-offer, but it´s wearth trying. Dough became blessed in the end, why can´t I?
I saw and heard him in Oslo, Norway three days ago sharing the evening with 6 other acts. He started out and after him it was all down hill, at least for me. No one could even get close to his heartfelt, sincere and truthfull performance.
Doug Seegers ik hoop dat je ook een keer in Nederland komt ,want ook hier zijn mensen die je geweldig vinden. We houden de hoop er in om je een keer te mogen verwelkomen in Holland.Tot ziens.
"Going Down to the River" with Dough Seegers should be in a movie. Such a moody song! Just wait until someone like Tarantino or the Cohen Brothers or someone else hears it!
Another upbeat story of a man making good with his life & his music. He wrote 'Going down to the river' ~ caught on in Sweden Country Music. Recently, I learned about Don (?) a homeless man playing the piano in Florida, got a haircut and is paid to come inside and earn a living. B-)
This is "Old Timey" Country music at its best!! I'm just sorry it took so long for him to be discovered.Thank you,Sweden!!

He represents the heart and soul of country music. So much deeper than a red solo cup.
