I always appreciated The Booster Course Pass, although I was exaggerated about Toad’s Circuit’s low-detailed grass, but when you really look back, the developers really took time doing all these tracks for us and I couldn’t be anymore thankful, for us to even get another set of 48 tracks, this will definitely be a big part of my teen/childhood, next Mario Kart we go…
I remembered first getting Mario Kart 8 alongside the Wii U in Christmas of 2014 and I was 11 when it came out. Now I’m 20 and I finished the BCP. I can’t believe the Mario Kart 8 era has came to an end after 9 years from 2014 to 2023.

The staff credits were absolutely awesome. What an era this has been. Goodbye MK8dx. Now we look towards the next mk game Ryder. I expect some amazing new mechanic to blow us away.
I loved both Mario Kart Tour and the Booster Course pass. But I am looking forward to the next Mario Kart game. I hope it'll be an ultimate game combining all the previous games, with all the courses, characters, karts, gliders, and items - even item frenzies like in Mario Kart Tour, and bringing in shops like in Mario Kart Tour to buy items for coins. And bringing in new items, characters, karts, gliders, and tracks as well. Like I think including fan favorite Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi characters too, like Fawful, King Olly, Olivia, Dimentio, Count Bleck, Cackletta, Antasma, etc. And having tracks themed around them would be cool too, and more Rainbow Roads and Bowser's Castles too!
Another Booster Course pass could accomodate Piranha Plant Pipeline and all the cities I still want to see. These include, but are not limited to: 1. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2. Cairo, Egypt 3. Honolulu, Hawaii 4. Chicago, Illinois 5. Dublin, Ireland 6. Kansas City, Kansas 7. Boston, Massachusetts 8. Portland, Oregon 9. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 10. Houston, Texas 11. Kyiv, Ukraine 12. Washington DC
Wave 3 for me had the strongest line up of tracks. Certainly an ending of an era, but let’s enjoy it whilst we can. Booster course pass for me was welcomed surprise when it landed and I will say that it take on a further freshness once MKT closes shop. It will be sad when MKT closes, but BCP will keep me going until the new Mario Kart game 😁
Mario Kart 8 was just an amazing Mario Kart Game Nintendo has made and it’s fantastic cause I played Mario Kart 8 on my Wii U for the first time and playing it on the Switch it was amazing and the Booster Course Pass was also amazing as well. And Mario Kart 8 was amazing cause you got all new and remake tracks and new Mario Characters and Nintendo Characters to play as and also new Mii costumes. But now it has to come to end since 9 Years RIP Mario Kart 8 2014-2023. And also I noticed that they didn’t add both Kirby and Captain Falcon in the game as playable characters but it would be cool if they were but hopefully in Mario Kart 9 they do in the next Mario Kart Game I hope. And also if it's going to be on the Switch again or the next system or not because Nintendo did lie to us about the next system so I don't think their gonna do it I don't know? It's sad that we didn't get Kirby as a playable character instead we have him as a Mii costume which is not right because Kirby has his own racing game which is Kirby Air Ride so it would make sense to add him in the game but I guess not so hopefully in Mario Kart 9 they do.
For goodness sake people it’s the end of the Booster Course Pass NOT the end of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe the possibility for them adding in some kart parts from Tour and the remaining non costume Tour characters however small it may be is still there so PLEASE just STOP saying that as we ONLY know for certain that that we won’t get more race courses.
Honestly? Now that the BCP is over, I kind of really think they should have given us at least one more year of new Tour content actually. 4 years really feels like it was just short of feeling "complete". Especially with how much more they still could have done in terms of new character alts, vehicle alts and glider alts alone. The end of new content in Tour was disappointing in more ways than one tbh and like, idk how long the BCP will keep my interest in playing since I was already pretty bored/tired of MK8 even before the Switch port was announced. And even moreso since I didn't get the one character I wanted most in the BCP (Hammer Bro. Sad that he got cut twice now...just like Kamek pffft) or how they didn't bring ANY new karts or gliders over from Tour. They could have at the very least added the vehicle and glider alts of karts and gliders that already existed in MK8D via a drop menu or something like that I think. Just to bring a little more freshness to the game/pass. I know karts and gliders weren't the focus, but neither were the characters and yet we still ended up getting new ones. It's just...for people like me that were beyond bored/tired of MK8, but actually liked Tour, there's just not really anything of legit interest now for who knows how long regarding Mario Kart. And I do recognize that that problem is only shared by an extremely small minority, but still... Just one more year of Tour content really would have been nice imo, but oh well. A lot of what we did get was pretty cool, so there's that at least... Also just thought I should point out-- The Koopalings are actually in that new ending group pic. They're all just really small and squeezed into the small openings between the other characters if you look closely at everything. Really gotta love just how crappily Nintendo treats the Koopalings (and pretty much only the Koopalings) these days, huh? Xp Anyway, the characters missing from that new ending group pic seems to be all but one of the babies, the power-up characters aside from Peachette (so Tanuki Mario, Cat Peach, Metal Mario & Pink Gold Peach), the 2nd party Nintendo characters (Villagers, Link, etc) and all Mii costumes, including the base one.
The Booster Course Pass was the only reason I got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the first place, and I'm glad I did. I never played Mario Kart Tour, so I appreciate the BCP for allowing players like me to experience those cool and unique tracks, along with bringing in a bunch of new additions to the roster, some of which I feel like should've been in the base game in the first place. It does feel like the end of an era for Mario Kart 8, and it was a fun and exciting one. Now all that's left to do is wait for the next mainline Mario Kart game. How much do you want to bet that they'll give that one its own BCP as well?
This might be near the end of Mario for me in general. No more Booster Course Pass, no Charles Martinet, no Diana Mustard, and games that are trying to redesign and re-invent the franchise. 2023 may be the last time I ever buy a new Mario game.

Honestly i don't mind that 8DX&Tour are finished. Its time for a break from the track for a while

Truely is the end of an era, we've been playing this game for about 10 years and now it's all done.
Until Nintendo announces Mario Kart 8 Ultra Deluxe.

@youraveragejoe9286 Yea It's a shame that some of them tracks we replaced by some others.

Tour introduced many awesome new tracks to the franchise. I look forward to seeing them return (and updated?) for the next Mario Kart game.
The Koopalings are in the “Thank You” image. The babies, Metal clones, Animal clones and Guest characters are not though.
It all started with Mario Kart Stadium to all end with Wii Rainbow Road. That's truly a perfect way to end this era.
