It is not unheard of to see young people trying to save money for a house and living with their parents even couples. And then some people in their 50s will move in with their parents to help them because they need more help with their everyday needs.
Generally agree, unless one feels uncomfortable emotionally and drained living and/or communicating with their family members. For me, paying rent is way less stressful than keeping in touch with my parents or relatives 😅
In many countries people live with their parents until they are married. This individualistic society of the USA has people struggling. Many of these jobs simply don’t pay enough for people to live on their own without struggling. You either have roommates or you live with your parents/family.
As long as that grown adult isn't being an emotional, physical or financial burden to their parents. The agreement would have to be they have to contribute to the household expenses (rent, utilities, groceries) as well as doing some of the chores(laundry, mowing, minor repairs etc) . And always remember its their parents home and they have to respect it. And not expect parents to clean up after them, cook for them etc.

Nothing wrong with having strong family connections , kinda makes me jealous too .
Forget the “ family connection”, you don’t pay rent that’s a big deal.

If your're over 18 living with your parents, and got a job, you need to pay some rent.
