Ideal Jawa (India) Ltd was an Indian motorcycle company based in Mysore which sold licensed Jawa motorcycles beginning in 1960 under the brand name Jawa and from 1973 as Yezdi. The catchphrase for the bikes sold by the firm was "Forever Bike, Forever Value"
The Jawa 353/04 designated as 'A' Type, Yezdi 250 'B' Type, Yezdi 250 Roadking, Yezdi 350 Twin (type 634), and Yezdi 250 Monarch models are driven to this day in various parts of the country. Jawa and Yezdi bikes, especially the ones with fuel tank paddings and ignition systems on the fuel tank are now collector's items. The company stopped production in 1996.

I still have the original Yezdi 250 user manual, it is so descriptive as a service manual

There is a correction...The ignition switch has 4 positions...Normally when the key is not inserted the igniton is off...You push the key inside in position 1 you have ignition...position 2 is park lamps...position 3 is headlamps and positon 4 is Battery ignition

It has the badging of CL-II but bike is classic model...
There is a Lock hanging near the rear shock absorber that is used for handle lock...

Hi so the side plate on your Yezdi which says CL2 is not the original side panel. The Cl2 had a different instrument cluster, it had a separate speedometer and key ignition, unlike where the headlight, speedometer is cased in the whole box. So your side cover is a replacement and not the original. (the original says D250 classic)

There is nothing called CD 250 .
D250 Classic
250 CL II
250 Deluxe
