Clear purple gameboy color, Pokemon Yellow or Gold, and playing until the sunlight through the window goes from a bright day to calming light of dusk. Yeah, good times man.
I hate myself for wanting to grow up… Now I close my eyes and reminisce of the times when it was just me and my bike. Me and my friends. Me and those short summers. I miss me.
yeah its odd so many ppl in millennials generations were seemingly in a rush to grow up. I miss my childhood so much, everything lately has made me lose love and hope for humanity as we get closer and closer to the doomsday clock that we do to ourselves. I wish i could go back to the 90s and not take it for granted and live as a kid a little more. when i reread what u said about how u miss me\urself it hut so much harder. I dont like who i am now. I dont feel free like when i was a kid. Id do anything to go back and id change so much :(
I think my most iconic childhood memory was when it was Christmas, I woke up in the morning, I found the house already cleaned by my mom, she was cooking by the time I woke up, she didn't bother me that day or yell for something, it was cold and the sun was covered by clouds .i went to the living room to watch cartoons as I sat on the soft, warm carpet, cartoon network was airing Christmas specials the whole day, that day . I watched Dexters laboratory, Johnny Bravo, The grim adventures of Billy and Mandy and more...ahhh the nostalgia, I want to experience that type of tranquility again some day
We used to be able to open one gift on Christmas Eve. I remember opening up Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land for my Gameboy Advance. It was a chilly night in Michigan, the street was quiet. I knew nothing of life’s horrors then-and just how beautiful it is to be a child.
only after growing up, you realize how f-up was your childhood, and the worst part is that somehow, it was better than now. sometimes the lack of knowledge is a blessing.
I didn't have the best if childhoods but, i wish i could go back ya know? I wish i was fully able to be a kid at the time. Ive been stressed since I was around 5/6. But i still miss it. The friends, the adventures. But yeah
when I was a kid I lived in a big house in the middle of a large woods. I remember, during afternoon, I always getting out for a very long walk, only me and my gameboy. There was no smartphones, only the silence and those (now anomalous) long afternoons. Why in these days everything must be so "fast"? Games, movies, books and everything turns old in the same moment when they get released. The days flows with an unstoppable rythm and it seems that every single moment you have to do something. I would give everything for just another one of those "Long Afternoons"
I can still remember the smell of the grass after it’s been cut, riding my bike through the neighborhood with my buddy. Christmas of ‘99 I got Pokémon Crystal and a green Gameboy Color. I think about things like this all the time and I sure do miss them.
I miss what my childhood should have been. I have some truly beautiful nostalgic memories from childhood, but those were also some of the hardest years of my life. It seems like there has always been a bully or abuser around. I’m a stronger person because of it, I don’t put up with it. But there are times I wish it could be as simple as my childhood “on a good day.” There were a handful of those. I think the era we’re currently in has started to become dystopian for people, it can be easy to remember the simplicity of childhood and forget the things that were wrong decades ago that contributed to getting us to where we are now. I wish we could take the best pieces of the past and click them together with the necessary progress of the future. Something has always been “not quite right” here. The only heaven on earth is the one you choose to make, and too many people choose to make it a hell.
This reminds me of playing Pokémon games on the gameboy color, my older brother and older cousin used to teach me how to play. It also reminds me of playing Super Mario World in church, me and my brother used to take turns dying. All good pure memories. Thank you bootlegboy, once again, from alaska 💙
Ya know the Save Rooms from Resident Evil? These videos are that for us, I think. Little places where we retreat & recant our memories of happier, simpler times and hide away for a while. But eventually, we gotta go back n' face the bleak place the world has revealed itself to be when we grew up. Based on the comments 'bout GameBoys in the Summer sun, I guess I'm younger than the lot of y'all. For me, it was my DS and a few GBA games in the hot n' cold spells of the deep south, but I digress. I can still relate to the core of what y'all are sayin', and there's somethin' nice 'bout that, even in the sadder comments. Tryin' to not sound too cheesy or tryhard here, but someone in the comments said that they "Don't miss bein' young, but miss havin' hope for the future," but to offer somethin' positive here, I think it's still possible to have hope. There's an inner child in all of us-- for some it's bigger than others, but it's still there. Try to find that balance, to channel your child self's energy into your adult life(Adjusted for adult responsibilities, of course). I ain't gonna pretend I know how to do this(Lord knows I'm the ultimate fuck-up), but I still try. Try to enjoy life, n' see the same color in the world I did as a kid. Maybe I can get my hope for the future back. We're all gonna make it.
I used to listen to your mixes all the time in high school. Was curious to see if you were still uploading after all these years. Really happy to see you're still here. Things are a bit chaotic right now, so it's nice to be able to return to something so familiar and comforting ✌️
i too miss being a kid...but i honestly just miss being young, being a kid sucked a lot tbh, i would do everything different if i knew time would fly so fast 💜
I never had a Gameboy Color Growing up, but knew a friend who had two. When I came over, we pretended to travel to different areas of Johto in Pokemon Gold and Silver. Even though the game wasn't mine, he let me play. I miss him.
I used to bike a lot when I was a kid. I grew up and got a driver’s license… and you know the rest. But I think I’ll get a bike soon and start feeling free again. Not tied to gas and busy roads, just me and my legs and the wind in my face.

@@tiffanyevans7634 midnight swim and adult swim as well tifa.

Gameboy was cool. Catching pokemon was a lot simpler than paying taxes and trying not to get stabbed in the back by so-called friends.

Real
Same but in a different way. I miss having few responsibilities

Every video on this channel feels like a breath of fresh air. Your creativity and talent are truly inspiring!
At heart most of us still can be kids.
The toys/entertainment only get larger and more expensive is all.
I miss the concept of "the world is your oyster and life is long". There wasn't a rush, or it didn't feel like there was a limit. You just lived.
May the rhythm and melody of the music soothe your soul
