I don't know who he is, even watching this guy at 1:30am with the volume off, I can tell he is a rock star. People honor his creativity and craftsmanship. The car turned out like a million dollar piece of art work.
you can say what you want about this mans Art of building these cars! The biggest art though, he has to put up with these folks just standing around like foxes around a Chicken farm! ... >.< give the man some space and let him do his work!

What Nakai does takes vision and hard work. I've been a Japanese Shipwreck Apprentice, trust me..... If u like unorthodox, u will not like living around Nakai

@@dirkvanviersen671 he sprayed the bare metal with a rattle can once the kit was on. It's just as durable as the standard e coat put onto unpainted parts like the wheel wells.

Does he apply any anti rust to the metal edge he just sawed off ? If not it’s very careless and if will rust very quickly.
Most of them Porsche’s have rust resistant metal’s like aluminum panels.

Evrything he does is a masterpiece, that's what they're paying for. All idlers spray is sloppy, that's how it's done.

I've watched a lot of these build videos, and the one thing never shown is how the exposed fender metal is weatherized after he makes the cuts and grinds. He does the gap sealer on the outside, but what is done on the inside to prevent moisture from rotting that fresh metal?

This is at the Le May Auto Museum in Tacoma, WA next to the Tacoma Dome. Not Seattle!
The build might be in Tacoma, but it’s done by RWB Seattle which is the official branch of RWB in the state.... which makes it a Seattle build. Not Tacoma.

do people actually drive these cars on the track? like they were meant to? or is it just for show? cause I have seen a lot of "car meets" and not enough track stuff
It’s up to the owner how they want their car built. Some want show, driver and or track

Epic color , a true craftsman. A few things struck me as odd perhaps I don’t understand the process or perhaps the process needs some tweaking. Some of the painting of the black vents, cutting of body kit when already installed on car, spraying letters on tires, edge that are prone to rust, etc can be planned better. Avoiding overspray with spraying with paint can ,damaging other parts of body with debri , dust, etc. In no way am I criticizing a craftsman , I’m suggesting a more refine approach.

Hey Marco, the car is more of an art piece. I’m pretty sure he is well aware of the overspray and all the other things you pointed out. Think about it, he developed these overfenders and has been doing this well over 15 years. I am 100% sure he has seen the aftermath of those cut fender after all these years

Actually it’s only $30k for the kit and install. Moreover, he breaths new life into old cars that would normally be in junk yards. Thus, in a way, he is giving these old cars a second life and keeping Ferdinand’s legacy alive.
