really like your videos dude. very clear info. good for a newbie to eurorack such as myself. I bought this VCO to use as an oscillator for my 84HP setup, so this vid so far is very helpful.
Awesome demo. The Erica Black Wavetable and Polivoks filter are a great pair. Two of my favourite modules. Sometimes i use only those two for hours, or weeks... :-)
Mine is on its way as I write, so this is a perfect intro to what seems like a monster. Can’t wait to run some of those ‘standard waves’ through a wavefolder…
wavetable modules scare me since they can be so uncontrollable but this one make it seem so easy, almost every button you moved just instantly gives new great sound, and so much great ideas can flow from it. got to love erica synths
It's an astonishing VCO. I bought a second one a few times after the first one because it is able of a so wide range of sounds. The optional bank (25€) is very interesting and does not cost a lot, I installed it on both VCO. The Sub modes are monstruous, specially the 3rd one that is a true different analog bass sound. I'm not too much a digital guy but this VCO is bringing something more to my rack.
Erica Synths should hire you to make their demos! I like that your approach to this module is minimal, in that it is so powerful that it is all you need. I would have approached it as another flavor in addition to a couple of normal vcos, which makes no sense when you consider all the analog vcos I already have at my disposal.
This was my very first module, and indeed it was truly love at first sight. Keeping it forever... unless erica synths come with a monster V2, then i might change my mind
finally looking into this one and glad i did - great overview! i wish the cv control modes were broken out separately and not behind a single input & switch, though.
It is really nice to take part in your journey into modular - an experienced synth user just jumping into the whole mess of wires and choices. And you always have a nice vibe and energy, keep it coming Starsky. :) Looks like this module wouldn't fare too badly on it's own, just need a EG or LFO and off you go! Or maaaaybe two of these? :)
A couple of things stand out about this module. The smooth morphing between waves. The warmth and fatness of the sounds. The user interface is slightly unintuitive, I tend to forget how to switch between the settings. The lack of a dedicated octave switch is bothersome.
I wish they would make an optional stand-alone desktop version of this, for those of us that don’t own a modular set-up. I’d love to run my Hydrasynth through it, like I do the ‘Zen Delay’.
Wouldn’t really be able to run audio into it since it’s an oscillator tho right? If they made it box like the bassline desktop that would be pretty nice 👍
250 euro?? They're 325 now ^___^ I just ordered one after watching your video. I already have Plaits but this should be a lot better. It's a different beast I think.
Just a quick question: Does the out signal jump up a notch in volume and brightnessright At the end of travel if you crank the bitcrush all the way? If so, why?
I can’t get it to do that. Just had a play but no volume changes. Some sounds will introduce new harmonics with the bitrate change but that will very much depend on the wave shape and possibly the filter resonance if it’s going through one?
I love this module!
I wish Erica would make a stand-alone synth based on this VCO, like the Bassline.
Just ordered mine along with dual vcf filter after loving the ones from Erica Synths in VCV Rack.

All very very nice
You took the words right out of my mouth :)
I have this in software form in VCV Rack and you inspired me to play with it more than I had previously. It's a very cool module.
This is how I tried it out too! :)

When I remember first watching this video I could’ve sworn you were using 2 of these modules, but watching it again, I see it’s just one… WOW

So glad you covered this! I just started searching for it today, love your work mate!!

I'm dying for my first modular. I want a moog filter most of all :)
Purchased this product cause of your review - Erica owe you a cut mate
Great demo's at the end, thanks for sharing.

Yeah, pretty impressive as a single oscillator!
My favorite sound source. I always patch it first.
dat octave saw/square tho... instant zelda OoT Deku Tree vibes.
good stuff. i have the wavetable VCO and its awesome

Sorry, I mean’t run it through my Hydrasynth’s filters, and effects.

You can do that no problem, unless your Hydrasynth is the explorer version.
Totaly top

How does this compare against, say, Qu-bit's Scanned? What would you recommend for neuro/dubstep lines?
How does this compare with the Qu-bit Scanned?
nice
woooaaaaaw
Fkn cool !
Adding a tiny bit of keyboard CV to scroll through the table might be something?
Nice idea
Useful Information.
Thank you so much.
Will the settings of the Module ,like CV mode and wavetable selection remain after power off and on?
Thanks
Thanks. No it resets on power off.
@@StarskyCarr thank you very much. this is a big Bummer. Thats why i keep my hands off Erica Synths . Pico Drums = Same
Hard to take my eyes off the Pro-One

Does the module come with your brain ?
